Supports knocked off the plate 15% into print
I am looking for some advice on what tuning I need to do with my H2D printer. I had a print fail the other day and I suspected it was partially due to the tree supports not bonding well to the plate. I did some research and then did the usual:
Scrubbed the plate with dawn soap and rinsed and dried well
Handled it without touching the work surface
I slowed down the first layer and initial layer infill to 25/55 mm/sec to help ensure a good bond
I turned the plate temp up for the first layer to 73C
I dried the PETG filament at 65C for 12 hours in my AMS-HT
I had done a complete recalibration the day before.
Using PETG Basic
Printed the first side of the assembly which runs for about 16 hours. It finished successfully without any issues
Started printing the second side (mirror image of the first) several hours after the first side finished so the printer was starting from a room temperature start like the first one.
15% into the print, one support tree trunk and then the other came loose – is this due to clumping?
The nozzle appears to be clean based on a closeup pic I took shortly after stopping the job.
I would appreciate any insight as to what steps I take next to try and resolve this.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Printer is only a few weeks old and has 167 hours of use.
