Thingy

Could you please take a picture of your printer, and show where and how this silicon piece I found this morning on my print plate is positioned? I believe it should be somewhere around the print head I believe, thank you 👍

Use case: printing dual color business cards 🤘

Business cards are mostly a thing of the past, and every time someone gives me one, it ends up in the trash. This one might last a little longer though 😄

Ninja CREAMi soft-serve attachment

Made a lid holder for my Ninja CREAMi soft-serve attachment

I couldn’t figure out where to put the soft-serve lid when I wasn’t using it, so I designed and 3D-printed this simple holder. It mounts directly to the machine with two pieces of clear double-sided nano tape, so there’s no drilling and it shouldn’t damage the machine.

Some technicals: I printed mine in PLA with PETG support interface for a cleaner finish. You can also print it in PETG and use PLA for the interface. Either way it looks as it had to be there 😊

Bald Range Wildfire (latest news)

Video of how the fire jumped the highway. Sorry, but it deeply pisses me off, it's such a beautiful place...

That hill had a very picturesque home on top, hope it held. Horrible to see that...

Farmer's Market, what's the purpose of this thing?

It's small, everything is overpriced. What is even the purpose of this place? To support local? Yeah, it's a good idea, but if you want to support local, just go to a farm in my opinion. A bit of a disappointing place...

AXIOM - AI Agents that control your Mac (or Server) while looking like a Launcher

Been building this for a while, and I'm at the point where I want people to actually start using it.

🪓 AXIOM is an autonomous AI agent for macOS. The launcher part is inspired by Raycast/Alfred, many do that, but this is such a good design. But instead of adding an AI chat onto the side of a launcher, the agent IS the launcher. Hit the hotkey, type what you want, it does the thing. Either manually if you like that or AI does that for you. You can either keep it on your machine, or install it on a server and control from any entry point (Telegram, Whatsapp, etc.)

Its architecture is not like another AI chat wrapper. It actually can do things:

- Launcher. Opens apps, presses buttons, writes and edits files (with undo checkpoints), runs shell commands, controls Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, volume, media, etc. Everything goes through your approval, but you can give it a complete freedom and add hooks for protection. Swift frontend.

- Agent. It's an autonomous agent, OpenClaw/Hermes style. Different architecture. Not just a chat. You give it a goal, it figures out the steps, takes them, and comes back when it's done. Native macOS with a proper Ul instead of a terminal (actually, it's a bit more than JUST an agent)

- Memory. It remembers everything. Persistent memory across sessions. Tell it something once, it knows it next week. It journals what you did together so context never disappears between chats, sessions and all that.

- Improving. It improves itself. Missing a capability? It writes a new tool on the spot, registers it, uses it. The skill is not doing as good as before? It will research and improve it. Next time that tool just exists.

- Parallel sub-agents. Big job? It spawns child agents to research, edit, and verify in parallel, then merges the results. Like having a team.

- Talking about teams. You can organize the work between different agents. (More to come, still in progress, but it's 🔥, I'm very excited about what we're building right now)

- Schedules in plain English. "Check this every morning at 9" and it runs headless in the background. It's genuinely doing this for me right now.

- The launcher itself is a full system. Spotlight-speed search, calculator with live currency and stock quotes (yeah, I don't know why nobody is checking their $nvda or $tsla in a launcher, that's nice anyway - added), unlimited clipboard history, process manager, snippets, a file shelf you can drag and drop (who knew if you properly design drag and drop with a search launcher it'll be more convenient than Dropover) (video)

- Global keyboard shortcuts for everything, also they are conditional for commands (more later), you can bind almost anything.

- Privacy by default. Runs on your machine, self-hosted. Local models are on the roadmap (more later, in-progress) (llama.cpp on Apple silicon), so it can run fully offline if you want.

- It's still work in progress. Rough edges, things that change. But I use it every day and it's genuinely more than useful right now.

We're planning to release soon, and open sourcing is on the roadmap after we stabilize (tbd). I believe agents like this should be open.

Pricing: Everything that can be FREE will be free. For example, if you use your own API keys, the AI is open for either your APIs or MCPs. That is up to you. If you want to use our models, we need to charge for that, but we make it WAY more useful than just a regular AI model aggregator. This is still TBD, so share your thoughts 🤷‍♂️.

If you want in early we have a waitlist: https://www.aiaxiom.app/

Ask me anything. I'll answer honestly, including the parts that don't work yet.

The Rail Trail past the airport is now officially open.

I took it today all the way to Vernon and back, and it's great. It's a gravel bike trail. Sometimes it's too much of a gravel, and it's not stomped down yet, so be careful. Might be slippery, but overall, yeah, it's great. Love it.

My Snapmaker U1 Setup: Panda Breath + Custom Mods

I made a video about my Snapmaker U1 build with necessary (in my opinion) 3D prints, Heated Chamber from BIQU and some custom modifications as well. I hope you will enjoy.

Some thoughts if you decide not to watch here:

  1. I'm quite impressed about the Panda Breath. I got it from BIQU, but this is not affiliated and to be honest, in the beginning I was quite skeptical about whether it would be reliable or not. But it is quite amazing. After the video, I also did some tests, and ABS didn't fail for me even once. Also, I was super impressed that it's actually decreasing the amount of ABS odor basically to none.

  2. For the top cover, I think the official top cover or the top cover from third‑party manufacturers will be better, but we should keep an eye on something that provides enough insulation because it's important.

  3. Spool holder: Everything you might get will need some modification. For example, the ones shown in the video needed extra work. I made an additional bracket and pin for each of them to stabilize and reinforce them, so they could properly support the weight of the spools.

I posted all links in one place for convenience, here: https://picrowd.com/p/e252998a56994669acf0540767e8fc8a8871ec88c62c498a9faea7646b1f6d29

Railway current condition

It is almost finished and it looks rad. A well maintained gravel road currently.
