Print help
So I am printing out some small low poly dogs for a friend, but they want me to add letters to the bottom of the sitting dog.
When I do, it doesnt ever show up right, sometimes when I slice only one letter appears and prints out, while if I shift things and do surround, etc. I can get them all to show up but they are shitty looking.
See attached slicer photo.
Any of these parts that are missing dont print out at all and if they do, they look like total crap.
I am not using a modifier, but a part. Thoughts on how to get this to work? The model is curved where they want the text to be, so I imagine that is most of my issue.

Newbie - Want to buy a 3d scanner
So I have a couple of 3-D printers, bamboo labs, H2D’s.
I have friends own them and cons parts or items that they say can you make one of these, while I can go looking for STL files or three MF files to see if someone else has already done it, I’m finding 50% of the stuff they sent me is a one off or custom
When I have been thinking about lately is buying a 3-D scanning tool that I could use not only for those requests, but for other things I want to scan and replicate around the house and for other things that I do
I am looking for some advice on where is a good device to start with, I was planning on having to spend somewhere between $1000 to $1500 for what looks to be a good scanner. This was after doing a little research online.
Anyone have any feedback for a beginner, what model to look at what features are best, I have a MacBook Pro with the M3 chip in it, so plenty of horsepower to connect a static device to it, but handheld would be amazing for those times when I don’t wanna have to haul the laptop along with me.
Appreciate any feedback you can give

Printed some new Birdhouses
I had some smaller ones that I had printed over a year ago in PETG, still going strong but felt like they weren't very nice to look at.
Decided this model was much better, used Tinmory Petg-GF on the main house part for each one, glow in the dark pet for the roof parts...I dont know why expect I had a roll that hasn't been used in ages and I wanted to get rid of it.

Looking for feedback on brake pads and dust reduction on my Z06. I see most times that people use one of the two options below, but looking for some real world feedback.
I know the non-dust pads arent as good, more brake fade I am told, but I am not tracking my car at all, just road driving (spirited at times)
I have black rims and they just look matte gray all the time with the dust on them, and thats even with them being ceramic coated, its hard to keep them clean.
