I'm tired of going here and there and buying personalized amps for my instruments. Since i play both guitar and bass I dont want to haul around my heavy ass katana or buy a rumble 25 when i have a gb-20 with an 8inch speaker.

So I thought of an idea. Both are around the same watts, and a bigger speaker would let them speak above the drums. I could make a new cabinet for the controls using the gb-20 and a frontman 20g but is it possible? Could i rig an amp to play guitar or bass at will? If its possible but hard then Im willing to do it but im not sure, ive only ever messed with guitar modding.

Hi, I’ve got myself 2 cabs from Warwick (due to limited space and me wanting both 1x15 and 2/4x10 speakers) and I’m looking for an amp for them, and here comes my question, which one would be a better choice (I’ve heard that Microtubes has some overheating issues) and I’m stuck between these two, or any other class D amp that my fiancé won’t muster me for buying, any ideas or recommendations?

I have an Ampeg BA 108 V2 as a bedroom amp and really like it. It is warm and full sounding but I want to have a bit more flexibility and maybe more of that Ampeg sound.

Would a samsamp bddi or VT get me there ? The problem is that amp doesn't have an FX return so the pedal would go straight into the Instrument Input of the amp. I was also looking at the samsamp because I like the possibility to use it with my pc and for mabye playing live one day.

The ampeg sgt-di seemed like another great option but I heard Bad things about longevity of the pedal and I also found it a bit too expensive.
