recently got this amp and it is awesome, but last night at practice I noticed plugging into input 2 was much hotter and felt like more presence and power than input one, if that makes sense...this was curious to me because everything I have read says input 2 is the padded (-15) input so I was wondering what was up with that? did find a forum post that someone was saying how they put different preamp tubes for each input making their input 2 hotter and maybe thats whats going on?

last week the cheap portaflex 350 i got like a month ago fried on me so I played theough a friend's early 70's v4b at a show and was blown away, literally and figuratively...i have always loved the sound of these amps but never had the chance to play one until then..the next day I found a late 70's v4 that a guy was selling for 600 but had no info on when it was serviced last or what was done other than letting me know the pots were pretty scratchy and being in desperate need of a new amp and loving the sound I got out of the v4b, I was going to go check it out when I randomly saw that the shop in my neighborhood had this guy..it was gone over when it came into the shop and they said it hadn't been used much for quite some time but looks like all new tubes and the old paper cap can has been replaced with a modern one so hopefully won't need to have it serviced for quite a while..

defs need a new cab though..I got this setup dialed in pretty decent but I played it through an ampeg 4x10 at the shop and it was pure butter..

but this is hands down the best bass amp I have ever owned in nearly 25 years of playing

while looking into possibly building my own feedback loop pedal today, i came across this guy...pretty sure i get the gist of it but had a couple questions for anyone that uses one..mostly curious if this can just be put at the end of a chain/pedal board and if it only affects pedals that are engaged or would it essentially be pulling from all of them at once?

having an issue with this pedal getting lost in a live setting...originally had an extreme volume loss when bypassing my amps preamp (peavey tnt160) but realized the output impedance of the pedal was much higher than the input impedance of the power amp, fixed that by putting a boss tu2 between them as a buffer but now I just can't seem to find a setting that doesn't dissappear when the band is playing...i have also tried just running into the front of the amp and bypassing the pedals eq but it still just kind of dissappears but the speaker is visibly pushing a ton of air so i am not really sure how to fix this and cut through...anyone else deal with this from this pedal?

had my fuzz war for a while and I love the pedal but I can't get it to work well with any other drives/distortion..i run my fuzz war first in the chain and running it with a blues driver just turns it into a muddy mess, doesn't sound great with my plumes either and I am thinking maybe I just need a boost or volume pedal? I have a lbp-1 but again, muddy mess... there are some songs where the fuzz war is my primary pedal for the song and for lead parts I would like to just really amplify and overdrive that signal..anyone successfully pair this one with anything?

ordered this guy on the first; should be here in a couple weeks and I was wondering how they are holding up for people that got one? so far I am seeing they need pretty minimal adjustments (basic setup for the individual) and a few people saying throwing extra foam to get the pickups up higher...if you got one, or the jazzmaster version; what are your thoughts?

want to replace the bridge saddles on my old welson jazz primate and wondering if anyone has any ideas on good ones? the neck on this guitar is crazy narrow so not sure how string spacing translates and what exactly I need to be looking at to find a replacement, measurement wise
