Anyone have any info on this mid 60s Haynes amp?

I came across this vintage Haynes Bass King II The Royal Sound amp and was wondering if anyone has any information on how they sound? The speakers inside look pretty incredible. Seems like a good amp. Unsure of how they handle pedals though

Trying to identify this telecaster

As the title implies, i have little knowledge of telecasters and have been wanting to buy one, is this an old telecaster? Or is this one of those vint-aged reproductions fender did that makes it look old? I see that theres crackling all down the fret board and im assuming its old but i truly have no idea. Is the worth buying? any information is greatly appreciated!

Is this worth something?

My grandpa has this vintage höfner that he bought sometime in the mid 60s in Liverpool. Can anybody tell me something about this thing or if it’s worth anything?

i suspect it’s an 80s MIJ squier with a different neck, anyone else have ideas?

Found this at a Goodwill for $8. Scale length is 19.25 inches. 99% sure it's baritone uke. Anyone else come across this brand before?

Scored a great deal on a beat up Music Master. Should I get a vintage bridge for it or roll with this one?

I’m trying to assemble it with stuff I already have lying around.. It was hacked up / “routed” for a humbucker and 3 way. Which gives me a couple options:

  1. vintage mustang pick guard with the fralin split-coils. That’s the set up in the pic.

  2. vintage MM pick guard that I could route for a single-hum + 3-way switch set up and use a Texas special or lace sensor single with a JB or pearly gates humbucker combo.

Lastly trying to decide between buying a vintage duosonic/MM bridge or using the Schroeder that is pictured.

Also… probably going to remove the painters tape anarchy… probably. Maybe. I’ll think about it. lol.

All thoughts are welcomed!

1955 Gibson Les Paul Jr.

Hi, all! This is actually my first post on Reddit. But I feel like this is the spot where people will appreciate this instrument and the (in my opinion) cool story that goes with it.

A buddy of mine knows that I take in a repair old, broken down guitars as a hobby. His dad was a musician before he passed, and had tons of old gear lying around. My buddy is also a VERY talented musician in his own right, but he is a singer and pianist/keyboard player, not so much a guitar player. He was cleaning out some of his dad's old things and told me he'd had an old guitar with a broken headstock sitting in the back of a closet for decades, and asked if I would like it. I didn't really ask any questions, just said "yeah, of course!"

So a day later, he pulls up and hands me the body/neck out of the back of his truck - I was immediately blown away with how cool the old checked lacquer looked. Then, he says "here's the head stock" and hands it over. And I see the Gibson logo on it. I'm shocked. We brought the thing inside, found the serial number, and realized exactly what it was. And what it was worth. "Dude, you sure you want to give me this? Seriously, no hard feelings if you don't." Because I hang out with this guy, we work in the same place, and we are actually related through a few marriages. I'm not trying to get one over on him. "Are you going to fix it and play it?" Was his only response. Which, yeah I am. Given the chance. So he told me to take it, and if I ever decided to sell it once I'd fixed it, split the money with him. Holy crap, what an unpassable deal.

So, I fix the old girl up. It had Fender tuners on it when I got it, I took those off and put Gotoh repops on. Although I do have a vintage set of Klusons I'm going to put new buttons on and use later. The bridge was missing, so I put a Music City one on. Beyond that and the headstock repair, it is 100% original.

So, the story of the thing before I got it is cool.

When I went to repair the headstock, I noticed it had been broken and repaired once before. I adked my buddy about it. He said when him and his brother where toddlers, his brother knocked it over. Their dad fixed it, and within a year the exact same thing happened. He apparently just put it in a closet and it sat there for over 50 years untouched! I love old stuff because of the story that is attached to them, and this thing has got a very cool story, in my opinion.

This was long, sorry. Thanks for making it to the end. I am very excited to share

Im looking for information about this guitar, my great-grandmother traded it on her flight in ww2 from Schlesien to Bavaria from an American soldier for cigarettes, because she wanted my grandmother to lear guitar. Framus Superior Lap Steel

Hi everyone, first time lap steel owner here. Came across this at a flea market for a price I couldn’t refuse. As far as I can tell, it’s a 1965 Framus Superior Lap Steel, with the original case. It still has the banana jacks, and I don’t see any other obvious modifications, but I figured I’d come here and see what more I could find out sharing with this group. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts or further details regarding this thing. Thanks!

Picked up aLindell parlor guitar from an antique store for 60 bucks, I restrung it with steel strings but after some reading I'm wondering if it should be strung with nylon. It came with steel strings when I bought it. What are your guys thoughts? Does anyone know the history of this kind of guitar?

Help with screw type on a 1959 Guild

I have a 1959 Guild M65 and I've lost one of the screws that holds the gear onto the tuning peg. It seems to be a weird thread count. Does anyone know what size these are or where I could get one? Thank you in advance!

NGD sparkling burgundy ES-355TD ('68-'70?)

I just bought this amazing looking ES-355! the burgundy has faded to a beautiful brownish copper, with a lot of checking. And it sounds really great as well :-).

However, it was sold to me as a 1967. I'm not so sure about that though...

Here's what I know:

- serial number looks something like 904414. That seems to mean 1970..?

- logo on the headstock has a dotted i, unattached. So that's pre 68 then??

- I don't really notice a volute, or it must be really small. Again, that's pre 69 then...

- factory mono!!!

Some other remarks:

- pickguard is deteriorating, and I assume the off-gassing also caused the heavy oxidation on the pickups and other gold plating

- yes i know I've got the trem arm backwards, I seem to prefer it that way

- it's pretty heavy (around 4.2kg)

- I got it for a great price, but I'm still interested to know what it's actually worth
