What's your favourite preamp setting with the Sire V3

I got it since yesterday but I am still struggling with the preamp. What would you recommend for a nice tone with this Instrument.

Hey there, bought a used Sire V3 yesterday. The bass is in great condition and looks like new but the strings sounded dull. So I went to the store today and bought a new set of strings. I was asking for .45-105 since that are the strings that were recommended for the Bass in my online research. But the Store had only 0.50-105. The problem is that I now have awful fretbuzz on the first fret E string that I cant get rid off. I adjusted the truss rod and the neck relief looks alright. But the action is crazy high now.. (3mm on the 12th fret) and still rattling on the first fret. Are those strings simply too thick ? The guy in the store told me they would be alright :/

Just bought my first Surfboard today. It's the inflatable STX 280. The guy who sold it to me showed me how to setup everything once. So far so good. I know what I have to look for when setup but what I absolutely forgot is how to rig the rope properly at the bottom of the sail at that pulley.

Do you know any good video for a beginner which shows the process in detail ? I found one from STX where everything is shown pretty good but exactly that pulley thing is left out :/

I am planning to go to the Lake tomorrow and I am already afraid I will fail to Set Up the sail.

I am playing guitar for over 30 years now but somehow decided to start playing Bass (want to learn a new Instrument). For my guitar I used a Line 6 GX and pod farm 2 for recording and practice along with a vox pathfinder and a fender custom champ + orange micro terror. I ve learned that it's not good to use guitar amps for the Bass but would the Line 6 GX audio interface a good option for home practice ? What combo would you recommend for home practice. I am looking for an affordable option (just starting). I was looking at a fender rumble 15 but heard those are awful.

I tried the VR Version yesterday. Played until the numbers riddle with the portraits. Unfortunatley the experience was so janky I couldn't go on. Performance was also pretty disappointing even with a 9070XT. So I refunded the game but the story was pretty interesting and I played the normal version today. The difference is night and day and the pacing is so much better because all that janky VR mechanics are gone (which were badly implemented). I find the game plays way more smooth this way. What's your experience? Do you agree or prefer the VR Version. I think it's not a good port.

I am looking at two offers at the moment and just can`t decide:

I could get a Fanatic Viper Air + complete Rig in good condition for 590 Euros, the other option would be the STX iWindsurf + complete Rig also in good condition but for 950 euros.

I am returning beginner (made a course + license a few years back but had a break with windsurfing for the last two years). Because we only have a pretty small car and limited space here a hardboard is not an option :/

I am looking to get a inflatable for relaxed windsurfing at the local lake on the weekends in light wind conditions so it doesn`t need to be high performance or sth like that. I am still at the basics.

Which one of the two would you choose ?

Edit: The STX is from 2022 .. the Viper Air model is from 2018

What's your opinion and expirience in inflatable Surfboards like the fanatic Viper Air or STX iWindsurf. Do you think those are valid alternatives to traditional hardboards or are they a complete waste of money ?

I'm thinking about buying a used Fanatic Viper Air 358 as a complete beginner/returning windsurf package and would love to hear your opinions.

The package includes:

• Fanatic Viper Air 358
• 6.5 m² sail
• 4-piece mast
• Complete rig
• Everything is in good used condition.

I'm 184 cm (6'0") tall and weigh around 100 kg (220 lbs). I used to windsurf a bit, but I've had a 2-year break, so I'm basically starting over.

My goal isn't high-performance planing or jumping. I mainly want to cruise around on local lakes in light to moderate winds and just enjoy relaxed sessions.

One thing I'd like to mention is that I've only ever sailed hard boards. I have no experience at all with inflatable windsurf boards, so I'm curious how they compare in terms of stability, performance, and overall feel on the water.

The seller is asking €590 for the complete package.

Do you think this is a good choice for someone my size and intended use? Is the Viper Air 358 suitable for a heavier rider who's getting back into the sport? And does the price seem fair?
