Hi, I’m a newer photographer that lives in Pittsburgh, and I have started a project where I am trying to capture life in smaller towns outside of Pittsburgh. I think people dismiss smaller towns a lot and find them to be less important that bigger towns and especially cities. So I wanted to try to capture the good of small towns; people, places, the uniqueness to them.

The reason for the post though is while I am motivated to show this good side of small towns, I also am not THAT motivated to go as far as to venture into somewhere unsafe. And sometimes that is the case with areas that have seen better days many years ago. So I was wondering, would I have any issues showing up as a solo photographer to try to take pictures there? I tried to google crime statistics for Freedom but I didn’t find any results, or at least not any current ones. Basically wondering if anyone is going to try to mug me for my camera, which… isn’t a cheap camera.

Big shout out to my early morning runners, especially in Beaver Falls. Cool to see so many runners and like me, wanna be runners, out there getting their miles in when it’s still dark out. Those stars.

Also, special thanks to the people that don’t mind acknowledging each other with a fist pump or wave. Remember, when people encourage others it’s not always weird, some folks are just nice.

I posted a question about something i saw at the football game last week. now my messages are flooded with all the garbage gong on at Western. Thanks a lot everyone. Half this shit i don't even want to know about. 😂 Can someone tell me PLEASE if this shit is true? I'll summarize my messages for you. The little offensive coord is cussing kids constantly. Using the f word, calling the kids names, calling them pussies, being a general little prick and according to most messages also don't know how to call plays to win a game. Same guy cussed out a special needs guy who helps ot the team. The other coaches know it's going on but never say nothin. School principles know what's going on. Crickets of course. Same dude is a board member at Lincoln Park. Enough said there. If you know anything about that place its par for the coarse. Word is the shits gonna hit the fan real soon so stay tuned. why can't coaches be good dudes? Man I don't get it. I'm just putting it out there to see if this shit's true because if it is than someone needs to do something about it. Lets see if any of these school principles do the right thing.
