Just noodling with u/that-bro-dad's build here. I'm usually a strict articulationist ... (is that thing?) ... but wanted to play around with this tiny design
I was thinking this would be an early Brassbounder, developed around 1919 or 1920, and possibly used by what was left of the Deutschesreich (German) Imperial Army, following their mass retreat into Gaul from the Jötunn invasion.

“It's already freezing cold up here in the Alps, and it's only October! We've been here for only three days and it feels like eternity. We were sent on a mission to obtain information on any Jötunn units in the area, and report our findings to the neighboring camp. That's where our officer in command is still held up.
As soon as we came to our site, we spotted a den below us. It was a horrifying thing to look at. Bones everywhere, and the whole thing gave me trouble breathing just by observing it. At first we weren't able to spot any of those damned monsters, so we just started our routines. Wake up, report to guard duty, at lunch get replaced so you could stuff some of that poorly made goulash down your throat. Then after a quick break, back to guarding again. It was as boring as it sounds. The nights were the worst. It was so cold that even if your mind wanted to sleep, your freezing body didn't allow it.
Then, on the third evening, the situation quickly became tense, as we spotted those monsters coming out of the den. From afar they looked like midges, the lowliest of the low in their chain. Nevertheless, they were still dangerous if not careful. Imagine a scorpion the size of a man, just with impenetrable armor plating and giant claws. Stuff of nightmares.
We quickly gave the signal to the officers' camp. Using light flashes we gave the information using morse – 3 midges, no other Jötunn spotted.
Now we stand ready, so that when our orders come, we can deal with this vermin as quickly as possible, before any reinforcements arrive. But for now we just wait and wait...”

We've got a friendly build challenge going on over at the Brassbound Universe Discord to build a mighty Coalition artillery cannon. I took inspiration from the rail-based cannons of the 1930s, but made it in such a way that the cannon itself could be dismounted and either displayed separately, or on the back of a large enough tank.
