The v8 ports are awesome to record, probably even better at night. Such an awesome pistol.

I got the email for the ultralight pro coming in stock and 30 min later they were gone. Do they usually go this fast? Or was the email a mistake?
Jump on it quick boys! The main screen shows "Coming Soon" but if you click on it you can add to cart and checkout. Just ordered mine!
Good luck!
I'll start with, I'm new to 1911s and have been searching before posting this. Bul included an unsupported (keyed) reverse plug that's grooved to capture the take-down bar. Problem is, it looks kinda wonky and leaves a gap between the rod and barrel. Any reason to not run the original reverse plug aside from the danger of the take-down bar not being completely captured? I know I just have to take extra care when the assembly it out of the slide to avoid it bumping something and launching itself into orbit or my TV, but anything else to be concerned with? Unless there's a dire reason to use the unsupported plug, I'm reusing the original. Also wondering why Bul didn't make the tool less reverse plug with the filler piece.
One thing I like about my Staccato XC is the tooless guide rod. Does Bul not use them because supposedly they are not as reliable? Are there tooless gude rods available for Bul? Any experience with them?
Also, I lost the little tool (it's a very small allen key type wrench. I don't see them on their website. Been using a bent paperclip which works but I'd like either tooless or another of the tools they provide. Thank you.
I’ve been waiting on the edc pro to hit the website for sale but saw the edc sitting there waiting to be bought this morning, is there really that big a difference between the two
Get it while you can.

UPDATE: Just spoke w/ Bul customer service. Guy was really nice and said based on my description, they def want the gun in hand. He told me it should not be in that condition at all - I had to send a description and video, and will have a response from a gunsmith tomorrow. They said they’ll either replace/refit everything and get it back to me within 30 days, OR possibly just send me a new gun. Hoping for a good update, but looks like I’m sending it in
Per my first post, I love this gun - think its gonna be my EDC for a long time. I might have figured out the hot spot issue w/ my trigger finger without needing to send off, but time will tell. I had a question about build quality.
Ill preface that I've owned 25 2011s in the last few years, currently have n Atlas, ACW and Fusion Comp. I have been told the Buls are super tight fit and zero wobble. That is NOT the case w/ mine. The slide wobbles left to right and up and down. The right side safety wiggles a little as wel, and the grip safety can be moved around (up where it meets the beavertail). Is this more because of the aluminum frame vs. steel of the Tac? Ive watched a few review and theyve stated the fit is super tight and no issues. Maybe I got a "bad" one? Based on how it shoots, I'm keeping it. Long term, maybe I'll get it tightened up/blended better, but kinda surprised after doing a deeper dive.
Anybody else has a wobbly Bul? hah
Been wanting one of these for a long time. Shot a Tac pro 2 years and decided I would eventually get one. Last week I was at a local FFL and saw them in the case. I casually said “if you get the edc pro compact let me know”. He said they got one the day before and takes it out of the case. So, here we are haha. Shot it today and it’s truly incredible- I sold a c2 I had v8 ported a while ago and regretted it. To me, the speed and recoil impulse of this was just better. So, to my complaint. I get a horrible hot spot from where the frame sticks out just before the safeties. My hand was sore a few hours later. I watched the 10k review by nightwood and he mentioned that potential hot spot. Anybody else dealing w it and found a workaround? I spoke to a high end smith and he can do it - but because of coating after the blending, I’m looking at 2/3 months. Still waiting on the cost estimate as well, but I figure it’s worth it. I think this gun is gonna check a lot of boxes long term, so I don’t mind spending a little extra. Just curious if any of yall are dealing w this also.
First time at the range with the BUL Armory SASII Tac 5, but also my first time shooting a 2011. When it first showed up I picked it up and asked myself “for over the price of the revolvers and even the deagles I have this feels like a cheap firearm”. I saw now why people go to them not only for EDC but for competition. Next to it is my S&W M&P 2.0 9mm.
The Bul has a Holosun while the S&W has a vortex. Definitely saw the difference not only on accuracy right from the get go but how smooth it operated was not even comparable.
Reason I got the non-pro was to see how it operates now and if I want to get it ported then I’ll consider sending it to get the V-10 porting.
I only maybe put 200 through it today but I would say the state high-capacity mag ban (Colorado) is what cramped the shooting today.
I use Clenzoil in most of my firearms other than the Mil-Comm TW25B grease. I did clean it and lubricated it as well before this range time but curious on what others use to keep their 2011 running smooth as well.
