New to Bul and 2011s in particular so I know little to nothing.
Im deadset on picking up a EDC 4.25. Only thing I wanna do to it(for now) when I pick one up second hand from someone I know is get a 80 series trigger/block.
How does it work with Bul if its even possible? If anyone has any knowledge on it. Im using it for work(private/EP security) so Id prefer if it was drop safe in a sense.

My 12.5(carbine length) suppressed with a H3, Recce 5K, and a Bootleg BCG(“S” setting) is ejecting at 2 o’clock. Would a extra power red spring work to slow down my ROF and helping with regular gas tuning or a weaker spring? Running a white spring right now.

No tuning to get the SS running. I m just glad it ran 1st try with no issues. But its obviously overgassed. Unsuppressed its a clean 3:30-4:00 ejection. H3 currently installed and did nothing, it actually started ejecting at 2 consistently.
Will the KAK DBC or Riflespeed adjustable gasblock work better to slow this thing down a ton to where its nice and easy. Anything helps. Thanks!!!
I wanted a reddot that had auto brightness since I work from daytime through the night then daytime again. Manual brightness wasnt cutting it. Plus going in and out of buildings. I saw literally NO ONE comment or post about this dot’s front facing censor. I said fuck it and hit order. Usually auto brightness makes the dot to dim and not viable. But this works great. In a dark closet to natural day light. Stands out and Im going to run it light this 100%. Even with the light on it adjust to it and works just fine.
Quick post. Went from a CWHPS plate that was to damn thick. Optic and plate combined printed to much. So sprung for the new HOLOSUN 407C X3. This thing is nice. DPP plate was $30 on amazon and wanted to mount it ASAP. I had to use a rubber hammer to get it in there. No screws and it held the entire slide. I used to shit on this. Plus a low and USEABLE cowitness. Cant wait to try it.
I have a question for any and everyone. No matter your experience I want honest answers.
What makes a GOOD instructor? Time, use case(combat, LE using their skillset in action on patrol, etc.), or “I’ve been shooting since before you were born.”
I plan on opening a training company within the next year in the Sumter/Columbia, South Carolina area. Im 25 years old and was in Air Force Security Forces from 2020-2026. Ive been shooting firearms for about 5 years and 4 SERIOUSLY. While I do believe that time matters, also believe what makes a good instructor isn’t time but how its used.
I realized the military didnt teach me a DAMN thing when I started shooting with civs/mil that shoot on their off time outside the strict environment of MIL/LE. I started training myself with YouTube University of course and thousands of dollars worth of time on the range. While I am no where near the best, I believe I have spent more time training more effectively/efficiently.
What would be more pleasing to see/hear from an instructor? Ive been doing this for forever, I was at war and this kept me alive, or I been in x amount of LE shooting and stayed alive ending x amount of threats.
Genuine question. I think what MOST instructors fail is teaching the things they learned 15-20 years ago or what they do is right so its the only way.
Example: Let the gun surprise you, hold the gun with a 50/50 grip, lock out your elbows, shoot slowly because a grouping the size of a quarter is the most important.
Looking forward to you guys’ insight and what yall say. Not trying to shit on anyone but Ive seen people say time is the most important then they turn around and teach outdated techniques from 20 years ago that just don't stand up to modern performance shooting standard.
Looking for recommendations for a good chest rig right now I’m like 99% sold on the unobtainium SLED chest rig based on good reviews and price. Open to others though. Lets hear what yall got. For those asking how I carry a mailbox optic and PDP compact which is basically a fullsize with similar dimensions to a Glock/M&P fullsize. Carried both in the past for EDC before leaving active duty.

Using an Aegitic belt. Obviously I dont carry with handcuffs when not working of course.
I also have the privilege to wear anything depending on the detail so wearing my own clothes is a plus and not a uniform.
Currently using my PDP Compact with Badlands 124gr +P. Even though its a compact its almost the same dimensions as a full size Glock/M&P. Show me what yall carrying.
I hear it now, lose weight, they wont fit but I tbh dont care. Im 6'2, 280, 38in waist and just a big dude. While active I had a Agilite K-Zero with XL plates even though the website says it doesnt work. They fit just snug is all. What high end plate carriers do you guys know about take XL plates? Didnt see a lot of people reviewing this so I thought I should help someone whos considering this optic since its almost half the price as an ACRO.
I work in private security doing workolace violence threats and executive protection. Take that as you will(i know people are gonna clown me for my job but hey work is work)
Spoiler: THIS IS WORTH IT IMO. Key phrase: IN MY OPINION
The price. Actually got mine for $319 after tax and free shipping and recieved it in 2 days flat. Acros are in the $600 range give or take a good amount depending on the retailer. Yes you can get it used but personally I love warranties as a just in case. Thats why I bought this. Didnt wanna spend more on the optic than I did the gun but to each there own.
Mounting options: I have seen the Glocks and Shadow Systems that have the insanely low mounting solutions due to the Ghost Plate proprietary to the PB-3(jealous bc those looks good asf). I use a normal ACRO plate from C&H. Works perfectly fine. DISCLOSURE—> The PB-3 has the same notch under it as the MPS and ACRO but its smaller and does NOT extend through the entire optic. While it can be mounted to ACRO plates it WILL have a good amount play until you tighten it down then its gtg. Lead & Steel/CORD obviously made it with their mount in mind but it does work fine with orther mounts. After 500rds it hasnt lost zero so im confident in it.
Looks: Ngl i just love the way it looks no huge logos. Buttons dont pertrude and on top of the dot they function great and aren’t accidentally pressed.
Dot and glass: The dot to MY EYE is crisp. Coming from a die hard RMR fan and owned about 3 I love this. I got lasik when I was military and while Trijicon and Aimpoint are still crisp. My eyes picks this up great and can clear see a perfect circle. Multi reticle system is there and I do carry with the circle dot from time to time. Slight blue tint but in the daylight and even in the evening(6-8 o’clock) I dont notice it.
Durability: Obviously Im not throwing this thing into the rocks and shit or out the window but I trust it based on multiple reviews from personal friends and also of some YT videos. But like I said I love warranties. It breaks. They replace. Easy.
Size/dimensions: From side to side the optic is JUST longer than the width of the slide at 1 1/8in. Top to bottom its about 1 3/16in. Window size is 22 x 17mm compared to the 15 x 15mm of the ACRO P-2. Take that how you will. ACRO is slight longer and the PB-3 is slight taller but that shouldnt change anything for CCW.
Thoughts when shooting: Yes I know. Stay target focused and window size doesnt matter. But when shooting the bigger window is VERY generous and I love it. I mean theres a reason that comp shooters runs optics with massive window. So for for a CCW I would have no problem running this and not “searching” for the dot. Whatever optic you use. Train with it and youll do alright.
Final thoughts: Dare I say it. This is the AcRo KiLleR. Hope I made someone upset justifying the ACRO they spent hella money on because their local PD runs it. But in all seriousness I love this thing and for the price it punches in higher weight classes in the optic world for sure. Will be buying another one for my PDP SF. Let me know what yall think of yall run them.
Side Note: I have heard about the issues this have in safariland holster(6000/7000 series). Nothing a dremel cant fix. The US Duty Gear holster have a PB-3 for an option when buying a holster from them.
