I been going back and forth pretty hard about an optic. Definitely want a close emitter for an edc. It was between Holosun EPS, Aimpoint ACRO P2 or Steiner MPSC. I’m very surprised by this optic. My very first Steiner. I mostly own Trijicon SRO, aimpoint coa, p2 and few vortex XL that I hate now. The glass is very clear comparable to aimpoint and shake awake is quick. The housing a little ugly. If I was to go with aimpoint acro, I would have to get a custom plate for another $100-150 plus $550. MPSC costed me $400 think I’m happy with it. Shout out to RogueApparatus for the holster. Top notch, good quality and fast shipping.

After my firing pin broke it took almost a week to get Dark forge to respond back. After that they snail mail a firing pin to my house….. now of course the firing pin doesn’t even fit the gun. I don’t know who is running their customer service department but they’re losing my business from now on. Purchase back in December and maybe 2000 rounds through it before firing pin broke.

Update : Got in contact with a person. He seem nice but unfortunately have to send in the firearm

I've got a bin full of 1911 recoil springs and absolutely no clue which spring is which anymore.

Yeah, I know... I should've bought the Atlas color-coded springs from the start. Instead, I ended up with a pile of unmarked springs that all look exactly the same.

I looked at recoil spring testers, but most of them were way more expensive than I wanted to spend. So I decided to make my own.

It's a simple tool that lets me quickly check the weight of any Government-length 1911 / 2011 recoil spring. No more guessing if a spring is worn out or accidentally throwing in a lighter spring when running hotter ammo. Two notches are marked at for 5 inch (Government) and 4.25 (Commander) barrel lenght.

Nothing fancy—just a quick, easy, and affordable way to test recoil springs and sort through the collection.

Went to shoot a match today, first stage. Tried to shoot and nothing was happening after 4 try I said fack it. Swapped to my back up pew. Got home and found the problem. Never dealt with firing pin yet. Are 2011 firing pins all the same? Got another match tomorrow

Picked up a Glock 43X COA recently. Added a Radian Ramjet Afterburner and spent some time doing occluded optic training. I wasn't sure how much of a difference the comp setup would make on a carry-sized gun, but honestly, it's impressive. The gun shoots noticeably flatter, tracks well, and still carries comfortably.

The occlusion training was eye-opening too. It really forces you to trust the dot and target focus instead of chasing the reticle around.

Overall, this setup is legit. Easy to conceal, shoots above its weight class, and has quickly become one of my favorite carry pieces.

Anyone else running a 43X COA with the Ramjet/Afterburner combo? Curious what your experience has been long-term. Also running a iwb Tenicor centrum lux 4, anyone else running something different?

Local person selling their fiber laser. I only have experience with diode laser as a rookie. I’m looking to engrave anodized aluminum in details. Would it be possible with a 30W fiber laser? Would a design like this be possible?

Been modifying it more to my liking. Don’t get me wrong — this thing is still a beast out of the box.

One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the safety setup. Out of the speed holster, my grip was apparently way too high and my right index finger kept blocking the thumb safety from disengaging smoothly.

So naturally… I went down the 2011 thumb safety rabbit hole and spent way too much money 🥲

Started with the Atlas Shield ambi safety. Still had the same issue, and the angle sat way too high for me. Then tried the Wilson Combat low profile safety… didn’t fit at all.

Finally landed on the Infinity single side safety and man… this thing is fire 🔥

Wish I knew about Infinity safeties sooner. I’ve been running Atlas safeties on my other 2011s, but the Infinity just feels perfect. Not too high, not too low — sits right in the middle. Honestly feels closest to the OEM Reaper safety, which I also liked a lot.

For the past year I’ve just been running a basic Amazon wagon for match days. Cheap, reliable, got the job done—hauled all my gear plus a chair without any issues. No complaints, but it always felt like a temporary solution.

Eventually I went down the rabbit hole… joggers, golf push carts, DIY builds—you name it. Then the S3 range carts started flooding my feed. They looked solid, but I couldn’t get past the camo styling.

Started digging a bit more and realized the same company makes carts for other sports. That’s when I came across their disc golf cart—and honestly, that ended up being the better fit.

Pulled the trigger on that instead of the S3. Slightly bigger footprint, more usable space, and it came with a padded seat out of the box so no more sitting up chair. For long match days, that alone made it worth it. The military discount also a plus. Hopefully this will help someone out.

Finally got around to purchasing a Aridus Imperium hand guard. Quality is top notch and easily install. Did you really think there was a magazine modification? 😂
