Why are baby swings so ridiculously expensive?

Mine was a baby swing and I still think about it, as a first time mom I spent an embarrassing amount of time researching, comparing reviews, watching YouTube videos, reading Reddit threads and convincing myself I needed a specific model. I bought it brand new from Cargo for around $350 and at the time I felt really good about the decision. I figured if I was going to spend that kind of money, at least I was getting exactly what I wanted and had done all my homework.

Less than a week later, an ad just appeared while I was scrolling showing me the exact same baby swing on a different website for literally half the price. I just stared at my phone for a solid minute trying to process what I was looking at. The internet felt like it was personally targeting me and maybe it was. What made it so much worse was that I had specifically tried to be careful and find the best deal before buying. I thought I had done everything right. Turns out I had not done everything right at all and the algorithm waited until after I purchased to show me that information, which is absolutely diabolical. Ever since that moment, I have become so much more cautious about paying full price for anything baby related. Between baby swings, car seats, strollers, bouncers, cribs and the seventeen other things you somehow need, every single dollar adds up so fast. Overpaying even once stings when you're already spending so much. Now I compare prices across multiple sites before buying anything and just assume there's always a better deal out there until proven otherwise.

Why is it so hard to find kids dress shoes that actually look like proper shoes anymore

Every time i need to dress my kids up for something, a wedding, a family event, first communion, whatever it is, i end up in the same exhausting loop.

Everything in regular stores either looks too casual, too plasticky, or trying so hard to be trendy that it'll look completely dated in photos two years from now. the patent leather stuff always looks cheap up close and falls apart after one wear which honestly feels criminal for what they charge.

My mum used to put us in these really classic european style shoes when we were little and looking back at those photos they just look so clean and timeless. nothing flashy, nothing costume-y, just proper leather shoes that looked like a smaller version of something an adult would actually wear.

I feel like that whole category has quietly disappeared from regular stores and now you have to really hunt for it.

Has anyone found good quality traditional looking kids dress shoes that actually hold up or have you all just accepted that one event shoes are basically disposable now.

Anyone else feel like they have a closet full of clothes but nothing that actually goes together

I keep buying things i like individually but then standing in front of my wardrobe every morning completely lost. nothing feels like it works together and i don't even know where the disconnect is. is it that i'm buying the wrong things or just not thinking about how pieces actually fit into what i already own. feels like i need someone to just look at everything i have and tell me what's missing and what to stop buying. has anyone actually found a way to fix this or is a chaotic wardrobe just part of being human

Bought a copper water bottle, pretty happy with it

Switched from a plastic bottle to a copper bottle a few days back. I was thinking of a stainless steel bottle first, but then went with a copper one because of aesthetics, and heard it has ayurvedic benefits.

This doesn't have any inner lining, no plastic, and it's lab tested for purity which was the main thing I cared about since a lot of cheaper ones are just regular metal with a copper finish. Paid 45$ and it came with a travel sleeve and a cleaning brush as well. Pretty value for money ig.

Holds up well, no leaks, no weird taste after the first few days. It does develop a patina over time but read that lemon and salt takes care of that easily. It might last a lifetime as well, if taken care of properly.
