Hey everyone,
A few people in my family (including me) got the virus this last week. My father (71 years) has been sick for 8 days (difficulty sleeping, hoarse voice, sweating, muscular aches, fatigue) but no temperature.
He's actually doing worse now, after 8 days. He got crazy sweats yesterday (he was drenched, i am not exagerating) and he got a temperature spike today (39.5 °C) out of nowhere. I say out of nowhere because he's been having 36.5 - 37°C all week. My question is: has there been people going through this? Getting worse after a week?
PS: Not necessary information, but just for context: he's talked and been seen by 3 medical doctors but they just tell him to get his ass home and take Ibufren. My country's national health system is a bit of a mess atm and i think most MDs are encouraged to triage their priorities. They actually didn't even test him for Covid, i'm the one who tested him out of curiosity. He is going to the doctor again tomorrow.
I tested positive for covid 10 days ago. I'm having a hard time breathing. Out of the 10 days I ended up in the ER 3 times. The first time I had no clue why I couldn't breathe, I thought I was having a heart attack. They did all the tests and everything came back normal. But I had a cold so I asked them to test me for viruses. And yep, covid. So I got some steroids, paxlovid and used my inhalers. FYI I have COPD and asthma. 3 days later, the same thing. I couldn't breathe, felt really dizzy, they gave me a breathing treatment that was sent from God. Lol and sent me on my way. It was touch and go for about 2 days. Then I was in the clear! Or so I thought. Day 10, can't breathe, dizzy, like what! My oxygen dropped to 90 while I laid down so back to the ER. Breathing treatment, steroids, and sent home. What was/is your experience with covid? Has anyone had a similar experience?
