Can the door on this be replaced or does the whole unit have to be replaced? I'm trying to find out some information about this storage area but it looks like it wasn't available for very long. I assume it has pull tabs and just comes right up? If anyone has any info please let me know. I would be interested in purchasing one or if you have a source please let me know. Thanks!
I have a 2013 Lexus Ct200h F Type with a potential major issue. Engine already burns oil because of rear seal leak into the timing chamber if I'm not mistaken. $3500 for that repair because the engine has to be removed. Then this started to happen on the way home one day... Rough idle, sputtering sound, sort of knocking noise. Video will be included. I'm going to clean the egr system Monday because if you notice in the video, the rough vibration comes from that area. Fingers crossed. What I'm looking for is some guidance. This car is my late partner car that I inherited so its really just sentimental really. Its in good condition otherwise and well would like to keep it. I still have her sunglasses in the passenger door, so the car holds memories. Good and bad, but memories nonetheless. The big question is if its a head gasket and rear seal issue, am I in engine replacement territory?
Wanted to see if it would work so I threw Kill Bill into the disc slot. The display only shows a blank blue screen instead of video feed, but the audio works fine. Strangely, there are menu options to the right in the infotainment system like subtitle track, language options, main menu, chapter search, etc, as if to suggest this is technically possible.
Yeah it’s silly, but I thought this would be a neat party trick if I can get it to work.
Anyone have any info on whether DVDs will actually play, or if not, how to make them work?

Purchased this white CT recently and I decided to do a little preventative maintenance this weekend. I changed the oil and did a much needed EGR Valve, Cooler and Pipes, changed the PCV, added an oil catch can and added a basic Catalytic Converter Shield. I also cleaned the car up inside and out, fixed a few minor things changed out some lights and cleaned the headlights up. The EGR cleaning was much needed, everything was covered in carbon build up. I didn't get pictures of before because it looks the same as everyone else's that were clogged up lol. Everything cleaned up nice, the new PCV and oil catch should help keep the manifold clear. I still have some maintenance to complete but I am overall happy with how this turned out!
I have had my CT for a little over 2 years now, bought it at 100k. I know that my year, upon some research, is somewhat more tolerable to head gasket issues, etc. Anyways, when I bought the car originally, I knew very little about Toyota hybrids and the maintenance that is required. The guy gave me a list of what he did, and I believe he may have cleaned the EGR. I really just didn't know what that was at the time, and I can't seem to find his contact to ask him. The car runs like a dream and has had no issues whatsoever. My question is, considering a shop is charging $170 just for a diagnosis, what is the easiest way to tell that the EGR needs to be cleaned, or otherwise left alone? I know the pipe can be checked. I am decently mechanically inclined (changed oil, brakes, etc.). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Both of the wing-mirrors on my beloved ct were becoming badly sun damaged. It's a 2011, so getting on a bit. I was gearing up for having to remove them and spray, when I gave it a bit of scratch with my nail and thought about how much it reminded me of my headlight discolouring (after a good polish they are good as new). Luckily I had a cheap two-part polish kit from Lidl in the boot so set to work. 5 minutes later they look spick and span! Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue!

I have a 2012 premium that does not have a blank or cutout on the right side of the knob. I would like to source one of these and add a USB-C port there - assuming there is room. Anyone do this before? Any tips, PN, or sources for these appreciated.
From CA, drove all the way to Texas and back in this lowered CT. 2,600 ish mile trip. Odo after trip is 118,000 miles.
My pace: I drove 800 miles straight, only interrupted by gas stations every time my tank went to half (8 gallon tank lol) I had to use restrooms every gas starion as I drink a lot of water and standing up and stretching. Then slept at a rest stop for 3 hrs, drank coffee then drove the rest of the way there same routine.
Had no issues going through inspection, or over the border patrol bumps. Averaged 50 MPG flat, 75 mph, and weather was 95-110 degree weather too.
Gas was between $12-20 per fill up. go more east it gets cheaper
This car stock (a well maintained one) is a 10/10 to me, but mine although maintained well is a 7/10, i dont recommend driving far distances lowered, i just did it cuz I wanted to

Hello y'all, I need your knowledge. So, my heat exchange went out. Tried a bypass, worked for a bit. Modified bypass but computer keeps shutting down the fan. Now mechanic says replacing the heat exchange part will be the only thing to really fix it. The part is 4k plus labor, it's over half the value of my car loan. Am I effed?

My front passenger side’s fender liner came off, and the headlight cover oxidized fast. After months, I finally installed a new fender liner, but now I’m stuck with a cover that’s super hazy looking. Anyone know where I can find another one to replace it? I can buy in pairs if that’s the only thing available. Thanks in advance!

Hello. I'm looking at this Lexus CT200h and everything seems to be in good condition. There is no engine light in the dash but when I scan the car there is a permanent code for replacing hybrid batteries.
The car drives fine, enters ev mode just fine and doesn't have any issues driving whatsoever. And like I said no engine light or triangle of death.
Could it be this car was sitting for a while or just that code just come up after a certain mileage or timeframe automatically?
