Popped a P281B code and car was showing signs of a failing water pump. Got it out and about to be done when I decided to touch the damn thermostat… all three bolts were seized. Got the top(the studded one) and the bottom front out… the blind bolt on the other hand… this is the aftermath… how f***ed am I?
Sold my first CT (2011 Base) and after a few weeks of not having a hybrid in the fleet, I just had to have another for practicality. This time I knew what to search for after a year and a half ownership of my previous one. Didn’t matter if it was pre or facelift version (wasn’t a fan of the rear bumper of the facelift models), but absolutely needed to have the fully loaded package including the OEM FSport lowering springs and sway bars.
Found one exactly with that package and headgasket already done by the dealership! Just slapped on some 18x9.5 3pc forged wheels and 235/40 all season tires and I believe it’s just the perfect daily. Slow BUT the suspension literally makes it 10x more fun to drive around in! What a difference from my previous base model. Now just have figure out what’s the closest to OEM CarPlay set up I can get for the 2012 nav equipped model 😅 Apparently the bastard year when it comes to being upgraded to CarPlay.
Fellow redditers! Re did my front and back lawns first week of June. After leveling and grading… I was left with so much dirt that I have it sitting my driveway. Apparently my town does not take excess dirt at the dump due to it supposedly being heavily contaminant. now I’ve on my house for seven years and have never used fertilizer on it whatsoever so I know it’s good soil. Now it’s been sitting for a few months in the driveway and it has been an overgrown jungle at this point. I was thinking of tarping it to kill off all the weeds and possibly tilling it and screening it to use as top dressing for this fall over seeding? What do y’all think? Open to all suggestions before I fork over the cash to have it hauled away in a dumpster 😅
Ps. A lot of my neighbors have taken and used it lol but still got about two car spots of it left 😂

Can’t believe it’s been 2.5 yrs with this guy! I flew out to Orlando and flew back to NY the same day to adopt him when he was 5mos old.

Hey y’all picked up this 2021 Cannondale Topstone 1 and took our first ride at the local lake with my boy Bourbon. 8miles of fun.
Paid $1.1k the way it sits with the lights, saddle bag and hybrid pedals. Think I did ok? Either way, looking forward to the whole season of riding here in NY!
