Maybe I misunderstood. I was thinking that Caldera plays 5.1,7.1 etc. I have music in .m4a that are 5.1 atmos files tracks. But its doesnt play un atmos. Only stéréo. These files work well on Kodi. So my files are not the problem.
Maybe I misunderstood the website claiming that Caldera plays everything without downmixing in stéréo?
Fresh install of Caldera on a Pi 5. Accessed the initial setup through the IP address of Ethernet. Fill in all the boxes and go to the Plex claim code link. Copy and pasted claim code but get an error that the Plex token verification failed.
I have tried multiple browsers and devices. Signed out and back into Plex. Generated many codes. Still can’t get past this error.
Anyone else have this issue or any suggestions?
Installed on an ONN 4k Pro streaming, connected to Plex server, the app does not seem to pull my playlists from my library, I only see the pre-builts "All, hearted tracks" those ones. None of my own playlists are listed in the section on the Home page, and I see no way to change that. Am I missing a setting?
u/ElanFeingold suggested I make a new post and send him debug files so that is what I am doing.
Installed Caldera and it instantly (After successfully connecting to my library) "crashes" but stays open in the background. You can open the task switcher and choose it but it does the same thing.
I couldnt find a data directory in the shield for Caldera so I had to do a live log capture. If that is not good then I need to know the location of the logs you need.

I've been running the Android TV version of Caldera for several days now, and it rocks. (Also jazzes and discos.)
One thing I just can't figure out, though, is how to pin the visualisation down to a specific one. Instructions for the iOS version indicate that the visualisation can be set from Plex on your phone, but neither the Plex app nor Plexamp on my Android phone appear to have a mechanism for this. I can see what's playing on Caldera, and I can stop it, but there's no option to change or pin the visualisation.
Am I missing something obvious (very likely), or hasn't this been implemented yet?
Edit: Found it. It took a fair bit of fiddling with different settings, but trial and error paid dividends.
Since Caldera is still a newer app and community, I wanted to quickly share the settings I changed for my home theater setup to guarantee Direct Play, bit-perfect pass-through, and untouched audio:
Sample Rate: Match Source
DSD Filter: Passthrough
Exclusive Audio: On
Loudness Leveling: Off
I'm aiming for the purest, highest-fidelity sound quality possible. Since I just installed it, any pointers, recommendations, or corrections are welcome!
Curious if there are plans to eventually branch out to mobile versions? I generally listen to music via CarPlay while driving.
Update: Looks like it was related to missing loudness data for newly added files, as suggested by u/datorhator.
After a week of flawless experience, Caldera stopped working today.
Initial connection to server works, but shortly after, the connection becomes intermittent until it stops completely and Caldera endpoint is no longer visible and/or selectable.
Log file suggests connectivity issues, but direct playback from the server works just fine from other devices.
Caldera service takes a long time (~1 min) to stop/restart.
Edit/add: Re-enabled Headless Plexamp and all works fine on the same device/setup. But it looks like after installing Caldera, Headless Plexamp interface is no longer accessible on x.x.x.x:32500 (even when Caldera is stopped).
