Does anyone know if there are any people or businesses around here that have experience with them? I'm looking for advice about getting the cvt fluid changed and if so how, but I can't get a concensus from the internet on if it needs a special code scanner to be done. Lost my job recently and ive been inside a lot. Most of my old friends either moved away or ran off with a woman. Im 23 M going on 24 next year. I play guitar drive a mustang play videogames mess with electronics and I enjoy hiking. Would prefer other dudes to hang with but not opposed to women.

I’m potentially moving to Cape Girardeau for a job and wanted to get a better feel for the area from people who actually live there.

For context, I’m a liberal person and personal freedoms are important to me, particularly things like abortion rights and marriage equality. I’m coming from the Deep South, so I’m definitely not unfamiliar with living somewhere more conservative, but I’m curious how noticeable the political/religious culture is in everyday life in Cape.

I’m also not religious and don’t love being around heavy christianity, so I’d especially love to hear from people who are liberal/left-leaning, nonreligious, LGBTQ+, or just generally not very involved in that side of things.

I’m not expecting Cape to be a liberal bubble or anything. I’m just trying to figure out whether I’d feel comfortable socially and whether these differences are something you notice in everyday life.

Using a throwaway btw, no need for specifics really but it’s been a really rough few months alone with my 3.5 year old since my coparent passed away. Not looking for dates, just another grownup to talk to.
