Subaru Mechanics/people that know about them in the Area

Does anyone know if there are any people or businesses around here that have experience with them? I'm looking for advice about getting the cvt fluid changed and if so how, but I can't get a concensus from the internet on if it needs a special code scanner to be done. I'm not looking at marion b/c of price, even though I know it's going to be high.

Doing a cvt fluid change on a 2nd gen crosstrek

Hi everybody, I have a 22 cvt with the 2.0 (don't know if the 2.5 has a different trans or not) and i'm confused on some fine details. This is the first time i've changed fluid on a cvt and on a subaru, and i have some questions youtube can't answer.

  1. What the heck is relearn? Do I need to do it? Do i need an obd that can program the car?

I've heard differing opinions on it, but i was under the impression that all i needed to do was fill, shift it a few times between gears like a normal automatic, and i would be good. Apparently not. I've been dragging my heels on an obd scanner because of cost, but this relearn stuff makes me feel like i might need to buy one a step above a code eraser.

  1. I've filled things by vent port before. How does temp factor into it being full? I'm used to a trans dipstick.

  2. I know it's a lot, but i think I and the people reading this in the future would like a full step by step breakdown with parts and fill amount. If someone does it and others agree on it, i'll add it to the post with credit so people in the future can see it. I would definitely appreciate it.

In-channel vent visors for a '22 crosstrek

Hi! I'm looking for some good in channel vent visors for a '22 crosstrek. I was surprised to find out avs, husky, and weathertech don't make them for this car, and i'm not paying subaru 150 so I kinda have my back to the wall. From experience with my last, I'm not buying stick ons. Every option on amazon seems to be any two of ugly, expensive, and crappy, or sometimes all three. I want something smoked to see the mirror lights, but dark to look good, and very durable, long lasting, and long adhering. Does anyone have any experience or ideas?

In-channel vent visors for a '22

Hi! I hate stick ons, so does anybody here know about any good in channel vent visors? I'm not paying 150 for subarus, and for some reason in channels are hard to find for this car. I want something very dark (for looks), but smoked (so i can still see the mirror lights), durable, and very long lasting and adhering while not looking too bad. AVS, husky, and even weathertech don't make in channels for this car, and the best I've found on amazon are either ugly, trash, overpriced, or any two out of the three.
