Thoughts on the base?
Going for the nautical look, I'm thinking some seaweed and maybe some more stones around the bottom. This was made with cork, a paperclip and the clear part is hot glue (it's from a mold that didn't take)
What else could work to help? I might do some modeling clay on the cork to smooth out some areas like the water has smoothed the rocks. Thought comments and questions are welcome.

Getting started
Greetings void brothers. Im new to this game. Basically the whole thing tbh. I want to get into or at least get a taste of the painting and modeling world and perhaps some day the game play aswell. I want to go with our carcharodons for painting. Im looking for input on what basics to get to start like which kits do well with kit bashing and potential tutorials on YouTube you guys suggest. It would be greatly appreciated.
