Not really a photographer, mostly a filmmaker, but I sometimes like going out and shooting stills.
Took these on my Z8 + 14-24mm f/2.8 S. It was pretty dark inside and I believe I was somewhere above ISO 1000, but I can’t remember the exact setting.
Pretty happy with how these turned out, so figured I’d share them here. Would love to hear what you guys think.
Caught this on a trip to California. Was just, spectacular as a sunset
I bought my first real camera (canon r6iii) last week and I talked some family members into sitting for some photos. My only prior photography experience was messing around with a insta360 with explorer grip. I don’t know if I know what I’m doing yet or if I know my editing style yet but I’m having fun learning. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Kodak ColorPlus used for roll 2, this round photos turned out more clear and felt more my style!
Image Name: Heart of the Lotus
Description:
A top-down macro shot of a blooming lotus. The vibrant pink-to-yellow gradient and central green seed pod are intensely highlighted against a dark, moody background, giving the flower a dramatic, glowing effect.
Camera Settings:
Lens: 90mm Macro
Aperture: f/4.0
Shutter Speed: 1/200s
ISO: 100
Post-Processing (Lightroom):
Tone & Contrast: Crushed the blacks and lowered the shadows to create the dark green background and isolate the flower.
Color/HSL: Lifted the luminance and saturation on the pinks and yellows to accentuate the gradient.
Masking: Applied a radial gradient over the center (seed pod and stamens) with a slight boost to exposure and clarity for an inner glow.
Detail: Added a touch of sharpening to highlight the delicate edge textures.
Decided to go through my camera finally and put something here bc why not :3
I'm hoping it lives up to the feedback I got a bit back, if not - critique away! I'm all ears... eyes?
All unedited
