LynkedUp/TwinkleMcSprinkle Q&A. If you wonder about what I'd do as president, please ask away. Any other question accepted too.

I have real ideas for this place. Ideas I think could rejuvenate the DoR. Please ask me if you have questions.

Again, my points are:

- Player oriented structure + legislature is reactive

- "Local" event threads

- Safeguards against DoR killswitches

With additional points like:

- GM oversight (checks and balances)

- IRP events

- Weekly Feedback Threads codified into Law (petition threads)

Suppose I become president. How would you all feel about a bill mandating that the legislature react to public sentiment rather than vice versa. I'll explain.

I think the player base should control the story of the DoR. So to that end, if I become president, I would try and push for a bill that instructed the legislative branch to focus on reacting to player behavior, rather than said branch creating behavior based on it's laws.

For instance: someone roleplays robbing a train. The legislature would react to make train robberies harder.

Someone roleplays a mad scientist. So the legislature has to react to the importing of chemicals.

Etcetera.

This instead of the legislature trying to craft new ideas for bills such as "feed the hungry" (unless ofc the players roleplay a famine, for instance), or bills like "free childcare", or things that realistically don't blend well into the actual behavior of the game (imo).

Asking for thoughts on this, as this would be a big thing for me if you voted me in. Which, I hope you do.

Viva DoRia.

I'm LynkedUp/TwinkleMcSprinkle and, supposing there really will be elections, I'm going to run.

I'm posting this on the supposition that the presidential sign ups are legit.

I get that I don't have the greatest track record here, at times. I started as a troll, but I quickly fell in love with the sub. When it fell like it did, I felt some kind of way about it, and the criticisms I received when I suggested I could help.

Well, I truly think I can.

I believe we need more "Local Roleplay Threads" instead of overarching war games and lengthy posts about the Rose Garden. I'm talking "open mic" posts at the "tavern", or one off roleplay posts from individuals throwing their hat in the ring for a chance to play the game their way.

I believe we also need to dismantle the conception that this place should be about legislating food for the poor or building a military. I suggest shifting the focus from the public reacting to legislative action, to the legislature reacting to public posting. This inversion should spice the game up and keep it lively, and it ties into the more player-focused initiative I spoke of in my first point.

Finally, I think something needs to be done to prevent sub collapse again. I'm still working on this one but I was thinking, initially and long ago, thay GM's would be the fix. I don't believe this anymore. There has to be some kind of emergency kill-switch to prevent sub collapses.

Look I love this place and you all, regardless of how you feel about me. I've made mistakes here, but I thoroughly value this place and just want it to turn into something special again. I care, I guess is what I'm saying. I care beyond typical political nonsense. I care about the meta, the players, and the structure of the game. And I think I could do some good around here.

I'm humbly asking for a chance to do this, please. Thank you for giving me your ear for a moment. Feel free to ask me anything. I'll respond.

I was taking long exposure pictures of the night sky and thought it'd be cute to get my new house in one shot. Pic looks nice but... that red window? There's no light in that room.

Why the fuck is it red? Actually spooked the shit outta me.

I think TESVI is going to be in Valenwood.

Eight asterisks. Eight letters. High Rock is too easy. No, it was misdirection...

Think about it...

Made a cipher and wrote a poem!

Is it too easy? I doubt it's really difficult but maybe.

It's so pretty 😍 cannot believe I made this! Not a perfect dorodango but still so cool to look at and I'm so proud of myself!

Just had to share :) I'm really really really enjoying this hobby

Tried making one with some color in it. Definitely going to work on shaping them next, especially before coloring. But I'm still rather pleased :)

Lmk what you think! I bag dried this one and was super careful with the core. Figured out how a shell works too. Just wish I had shaped it first, but I got so excited to play with the color haha. Still, great tester for how color works!

Thanks for looking everyone :)

So I'm just getting into dorodango making and look they're far from perfect but I'm so proud of the progress I've made from my first to my second! I wanted to show it off!

All tips and such are appreciated. I just found this sub so I'm gonna be doing lots of reading. This is such a cool hobby and I'm having a blast haha.

I know my dirt balls are not perfect at all but honestly the progress from #1 to #2 has me elated. Thanks to anyone who sees this!

Can't wait to make #3 even better!
