Since im writing book about rich white male in his 20s falling in love with black woman but boys father doesnt give him permmision to marry her since hes racist.

Not too common, not too rare of course. He is a newsboy who says "Extra, extra, read all about it!". I've decided on his name, and his name is Billy

I'm writing a book where a public official has to protect his kids by sharing their fake names, he is also worried about people tracing his kids through public birth records. Would it make more sense for the fake names to be less or more common than their actual names?

[This is future, not modern, but there's not a flair for that, and it's only in the close future so I imagine names will still be relatively similar]

There's a scene in my book where the main character wants to reach out to a "childhood friend" (not exactly) because she thinks she might be able to help her with something and have information that could benefit her investigation.

She doesn't know her childhood friend's name, but she does know that her dad is a celebrity so she looks for her friend's name online. The issue is that her dad uses a fake name for his kids, not their real name, so my character can't find her friend.

I just can't decide what the fake name for this friend should be. She's mentioned by 'name' a few times (when she and her cousin are discussing her) so she does need a fake one.

The options I've come up with are:

1. Jingyi

2. Jinghua

3. Jinghong

4. Ruixia

I am looking for a name like "the _______" for my character.
He is a man in his mid 30s (1978) who runs a drycleaning buisness in the outer edge of Sydney, which is his coverup to arrand contracts for his clients. His appearance is well kempt with a stylish beard and very clean clothes, which fits his combat style, which is very to-the-point. He takes the shot, and doesn't want to make the pain longer than it should be.

I've got a fantasy world on my hands, and in it there's a guy who is a real try-hard, he tries to be cool and mysterious, and in this attempt he started going by Orfaeus (basically alternate version of the name Orpheus), but I am looking for a real name for him, and i want it to be really common, short and simple, sort of like John, but with a fantasy flair to it. If anyone has a fitting name suggestion I'll be very grateful! Thank you in advance!!

No matter how much I try to come up with a good fake name to use it instead of my real name it didn’t work for me

The reason why I wants fake name it because i have such a rare name in my country and in my city its about 5 or more people name there baby’s the same name i have 🙃

does anyone have any ideas for names that are somewhat related to butterflies and would work for a Gender fluid character

The one act will end with the suicide of the charter so I’m trying to find a name that could reflect that or even themes of depression. I’m also not a pose to a contradictory name that’s like overly positive if anyone has an idea for that.

I also would prefer if the name sounded kind of modern and not that of a god since that’s a lot of the ones google suggests.

Hi so I'm trying to write a book and one of the things I'm looking for when I'm writing it is symbolism with various things such as names. The main character is gonna be someone who doesn't know who their real parents are and is on a journey to find out who they are essentially. So when the readers are introduced to the main character, their fake name would mean 'lost' or 'wanderer' and then when they find out who their parents are and thus their real name, it'll mean the opposite like 'found.'

I'm also still thinking about whether they'll be a man or woman in the story so I'm open to any names.

So I spontaneously decided I was going to give an already very existing character of mine a twin brother. If I ended it there, I could just go with the name 'Charles' and call it a day, because his sister's name is Charlize and she goes by Charlie. However, I decided to make him trans because I felt like it was fitting for him. However, now I have no idea where to go with his name, since he isn't very developed but I just know he would not name himself Charles in a million years.

Their parents are absolutely the kind of people who would want their twins names to match, which is what I'm struggling with so much because I can't figure out what kind of name would match with Charlize in the first place, and yeah I could just name him something random and not bother with the deadname, but the friends I have irl that have transitioned have all gone with something semi-close to their deadnames for various reasons, and I want to stay true to that unless there's a good reason I shouldn't. While I do have trans friends, I am not so obviously I might make some mistakes with how I'm handling this, so feel free to point me out, I want to do this right.

Anyway, I got kinda off topic, but PLEASE drop name ideas, I'm open to a lot and I have literally no ideas. Thanks!!
