Jim Harbaugh and Daniel Popper both state that Chargers center Tyler Biadasz is looking at 2nd opinions.
He wants to try to play this season at some point if possible.
New hope for fans as they look for something positive.
Tyler Biadasz has not been ruled out for the season yet and has not been placed on IR for now.
Rookies Ahkeem Mesidor, Jake Slaughter and Brenen Thompson did a Q&A with Matt 'money' Smith after joint practice with the 49ers.
LT - Slater | Pipkins | Burke | B. Taylor
LG - Awosika | B. Taylor | Harkey
C - Slaughter | Kaltenberger | Spomer | Biadasz
RG - Strange | Penning | L. Taylor
RT - Alt | Pipkins | Burke | B. Taylor
Losing Biadasz sucks and the curse of broken and/or awful offensive linemen can never seemingly go away. Bozeman played every snap for 2 years yet the prized FA cannot make it to the regular season intact. Make it make sense. Spirits remain high nonetheless as I feel this is the best Bolts squad in 20 years and gives me the 2004-2009 vibes as far as talent, coaching, scheme, and depth go.
There were questions about taking Slaughter and making him a guard when he was drafted, but he'll slide back to his natural position and start at C and this seemingly puts Awosika firmly in the catbird seat for the LG position with Branson Taylor backing him up.
Given that there are 25 days until the season starts, it's doubtful to find any useful FA offensive linemen at this point in time and it is doubtful they will trade for anyone of note. I don't think we'll see any moves to bring in outside help since Hortiz put so much energy and resources into fixing the depth issues, but it is Slaughter time now.
BTFU for this incoming 13+ win season.
Wow: Dan Orlovsky defends the Chargers and Justin Herbert despite them never winning a playoff game.
"Everyone who hates on Justin Herbert, there's some validity to that he has not played his best ball in the playoffs…but he still got them there."
Clearest video of the injury I’ve seen. Also appears to reach down for his ankle not knee. Hoping for a positive update tomorrow. Mods remove if not allowed but I haven’t seen this angle uploaded.
