Hey all, looking for another card to add to my wallet in the coming months. My spending is a bit peculiar, making this decision harder.
About me: I spend A LOT on rent (I pay 3900 monthly) directly to the landlord, though my share is 800. I am reimbursed by my roommates for the rest, which makes BILT interesting. I pay the utilities for my entire place in exchange for spending nothing on groceries, though I do I eat out on occasion. I travel a lot for work, which is why I have the Venture X. I like to take workout classes. The workout classes + neighborhood benefits + rent benefits of BILT definitely interest me, but I worry it’s too similar to Venture X + I wouldn’t be getting that many points on rent since Venture X will remain my catch all card. Thinking about Capital One Savor too to complete the duo. I am in the process of phasing out my Quicksilver. Curious to know peoples thoughts. Thanks!
Application Wait Time
Waiting to hear back about an application. I’m new to the whole NYC rental market thing, and pretty eager about this place in particular. For those who have gone through this before (or semi-often), how long on average does it take for an application to go through? Do you hear back only if yes, or also if it goes to someone else? Does this differ at all for income restricted units? Thanks!
Your all time favorite theatrical design work?
Someone posted in here the other day asking if Lost Boys had the best lighting design of all time. It’s got me thinking… what do people consider their favorite designs of all time? Whether it be for lighting, costumes, projections, sound, scenic, makeup, hair, or all of it. What makes it your favorite? I’m sure some designers hanging around this subreddit would love to hear your picks.
My two cents as a lighting person: Lost Boys is certainly up there. Also loved the lighting of MHE and Notebook, as I tend to lean towards Ben Stanton’s work. I’m sure if I had seen Great Comet, that would also be high up there.
