Our mailbox was empty yesterday and today I had two pieces of paper junkmail, that's it? The envelopes were sealed, with nothing like this inside. Could this happen literally overnight? Does anyone know what the breadcrumb like substance is?
Only person that could have accessed box is the mail carrier.
Anyone know how I handle this? Thanks ahead for any advice.
Hello all,
Looking for someone familiar with MS cadence. Not looking for exact prediction, but curious when those in the know think it is most likely that such a simple and obviously needed feature will actually go live to their broadest channel.
Hello all,
Looking to help my sister. She wants specific shows/movies, that she has the files for, accessible from two TVs in home (one upstairs and one down). Both have old laptops hooked up and I have a couple old external hard drives. I was thinking that she could share files from her main PC in her office to the hard drives on TV1 and TV2.
Then ideally, a streaming platform style menu that can be navigated with a remote or game controller for the kids to "feel in control" as they pick their shows/movies, but from a curated list and not an algorithm.
Can anyone share the simplest A to B approach here without spending more money and utilizing equipment we already have (as mentioned)?
Thanks ahead if anyone can help :)
Seems like I'm leaving a percent plus on the table, but I'm comfy where I am otherwise. Thoughts?
Apps used to have proprietary media control playback widgets on lockscreen that were designed to be usable and even allowed specific customization. Feels like Google saw this and introduced their own in Android eventually so that they could make it near impossible to casually FF/skip through media as you'll typically do this to skip advertising (and of course they are an advertising company first). So making this near impossible to strike cleanly and/or introducing "bugs" makes it so that you are more likely to get frustrated and avoid or give up attempts and just be advertised to. This is one of the most ridiculous things that Google is getting away with and not enough people are discussing it IME.
Help please :(
Hello all!
Obviously, Android moved to make a native media playback widget eventually to limit the usability of fast forward/skip buttons to avoid listening to advertising embedded in media. Prior to the introduction, apps could have their own embedded media playback controls that either built larger buttons for usability or allowed granular customization.
Is there a FOSS solution that somehow overrides this ridiculous anti-human UX design? Problem is that it's working and I'm listening to more adds than typical when my hands are full/dirty and I can't quickly utilize the feature without unlocking and engaging with my phone.
Fully aware that HW controls exist through watches/headphones, but I don't wear a watch and often listening while cooking/yard work and wearing headphones is uncomfortable or too hot for me in those situations.
This was never the case for years, but service is now removing past active listings as they renew and not allowing new listings without active location permissions. Making the app pretty unusable. Anyone else seeing the same?
