I like the double trouble snake

He watches the monitors, silent and stern,

A boss with no comfort or praise to return.

Senior Commissioner Severian sits in his chair,

With a frost in his eyes and a chill in the air.

He demands strict obedience, order, and grit,

While his specialist slacks and complains just a bit.

To Cissia, this job is a forced labor camp,

A prison of rules under hierarchy's stamp.

She clings to a survivalist’s paranoid fright,

Always expecting a threat in the night,

Sure that he's plotting to see her disgraced,

Driven right to the edge or completely erased,

A terrifying "Demon Lord" ruling this place.

She quakes when he speaks in his low, heavy growl,

Yet it’s under his watch that she lets down her cowl.

For deep in her paranoia, twisted and tight,

She knows he’s the barrier keeping the night

From breaking her down when the horrors run deep;

In front of his eyes is where silence takes keep.

He gives her sharp orders, a mask of disdain,

But quietly works to alleviate her pain.

A budget adjusted, a threat brushed away,

An anonymous buffer to clear out her way.

He provides for her safety, unseen and unknown,

Ensuring his volatile asset has grown.

There is no romance here, no passion, no fire,

No tether of longing or burning desire.

They are anchors in storms where the cruel city raves,

Two solitary souls in the shelter they crave.

She knows he will shield her, whatever may be,

In the demon lord's shadow, she is safe and she is free.

Now, you’re asking like what is this?

It started I was kind of a joke in my head

“ what if she had like a complex family tree like in Game of Thrones?”

And it started growing

Like I am writing down names, looking up any relatives of Prometheus in Greek mythology.

In general, actually thinking of a family tree

But I want to keep things simple.

For example, she has one cousin and one younger brother

(now those two will deal with in the future)

Again, this started out as a joke, but I kinda grew fond of it.

And now that I’m sharing it.

I want to know if you guys are all right with the concept of the judge of Krampus having a family we didn’t know about.

I mean, it’s kind of been a running joke that most of the characters either don’t have family or have family.

I mean, people joke that Zhu yuan is somehow the outlier just because she has a mom and dad that she talks to on the phone sometimes.

Obviously, in a sarcastic way

But the turn things back

For all we know any character could have a complex family tree
