Watched this tonight; really strange but interesting nautical/psychological horror movie. Felt like a lost Lewton film.

It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958)

Wonder if anyone ever got that $50k.

Very similar premise to Alien from 1979. Pretty enjoyable movie, worth checking out if you haven't seen it

one, two… freddy’s coming for you 🫵🏻

I’ve been going back and rewatching some classic horror, trying to understand what really makes these villains stick

rewatched A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and yeah… it still hits

what really gets me is the whole dream concept. it sounds simple, but it’s actually kinda terrifying when you think about it

especially because that’s exactly what horror movies mess with… your sleep
you watch something and then you’re just laying there like… yeah I’m not sleeping tonight

you’re not even safe when you’re asleep. there’s no real escape

some parts feel a bit dated now, sure. but the idea? still pretty unsettling

and considering the budget, it’s kinda wild how much they pulled off

makes total sense why freddy became so iconic

what horror movie villain do you think actually holds up today?

Can we get some appreciation for how stunningly gorgeous Marilyn Eastman was in Night of the Living Dead?

I gave Nosferatu an updated musical score.

I’ve been working on a series called Rescored Horror, in which I take classic public-domain horror films and create entirely new music and atmosphere for them.

This project focuses on Nosferatu, reimagining the silent classic with an original score and updated sound design while keeping the film's spirit and unease intact.

My goal isn’t to replace the original experience, but to explore how different music can completely change the feeling of a scene.

Would love to hear thoughts from other horror fans, soundtrack people, and silent film enthusiasts.
