Everyone‼️Urgent, Do I Have Any Chance in COMSATS?😭

I want to get admission in BS in Comsats.

Matric: 999/1200 (83.25%)

FSc Part 1: 400/555 (72%)

FSc Part 2: pending

Stream: Pre-Medical (no Math)

Base aggregate (10% Matric + 40% FSc): ~37

NAT-IM: not taken yet.

Should I even apply to COMSATS with my academic record or would it just be a waste of time?

Do I have any realistic chance of getting admission into BSCS or a related computing field?

My goal is to get into COMSATS so I'd really appreciate any advice from students who have been through the admission process.I am literally crying rn😭😭

If we write in the answer booklet is it ok?

The invigilator told us halfway in the exam you’re not supposed to write in the question booklet other than the last page or smth but I did.
Koi masla to nahi hai?

to all societies in COMSATS

why are the societies dead at COMSATS . executive members and admins literally have no knowledge of how user experience and communication work.

why is this happening lol. societies are a major part of the university environment and social life. they do nothing except recruitment and volunteering. there is no communication between students. they just add up to 400 plus members and then those members do not even know each other. when somebody talks they get easily ragebaited. the thing is that u have not built communication and that bond with all your members. people in most societies have not even seen each other lol.

i suggest all admins take the Google user experience course on Coursera. most of you have access to Coursera through HEC DLSEI and Google. so you can experience this at the low price of zero dollars. yes you heard it right. you can also complete the course without certification for free. i also suggest a course on community engagement. you guys do not know how to deal with people. if you are that busy with studies then give the admin authority to someone else who can manage it. also make it a requirement for executive and other core member roles that they must complete specific courses on user experience and community engagement and empathy.

they start some graphic design or web development course. then by the middle of the semester only two or three students are joining that weekly online class. why is this happening lol. they say people do not join or do not want to study. you have not made the mechanism. there is also an issue in how you are delivering that thing and how you engage with members. no one is doing engagement activities. some societies are doing events and workshops but it is still not enough.

another thing. if someone asks for resources in a society group the admin gives a dry reply lol. who even gave you that position. someone may ask a senior a question. instead of replying professionally and helping that junior they mock the junior and say where am i sitting. the United States of America. and where are you sitting. here in this group chat. wth lol.

this is the haal of user experience i experienced. not all are like this but some are. i say this needs to be fixed. kal ko aap me se koi admin hoga. i am not saying NUST has much better societies or GIKI has a much better experience or any other reputed institute. i do not care that much lol. the thing is that we are here. we do not care about any other place. we need to fix this.

there are also some good society admins. i know they are very helpful. but for core team positions they must study empathy and engagement. students who have been here for two years. how many activities have they attended. you know the truth.

the last thing is that we are COMSIANS. whatever we do to change this will be helpful for us and for those who are coming to COMSATS. this is not specifically about COMSATS. you can also relate it to your university. my part was to say it and i said my part.

Suggested courses:

  1. Google UX Design Professional Certificate - also offered in Hec dlsei & google

  2. Building Community Engagement Foundations - a real Coursera course offered by Meta

  3. Empathy for Self and Others - a real Coursera course offered by Arizona State University.

  4. Active Listening: Enhancing Communication Skills - another relevant real course for society admins and core team members.

i am not targeting anyone. i genuinely believe this will help you. why not give it a try. learn something useful and then use that knowledge to deliver a better experience to students.
