4, 5, 6, 8, 8, 8. What do you give to opponent's crib?

I already made my call (>!I gave 4, 8 (unsuited)!<), but none of the choices felt good.

Update: Cut was 4.

More info: This was opening hand of a new game. Current score in match 2-1 my lead in a race to 4.

9 card crib?

Does anyone else play 9 card crib?

I was introduced to it a few years ago and pretty much all I/we play now.

Rules are:

Deal 9 cards, throw 3 into the crib.

Make points pegging on 11, 15, 31 & 51. (count to 51, the added 11 makes for interesting openings)

Go around the board twice but don't count the 121 hole on the first lap.

Near as I can figure the best possible hand is: 445566 & cut a 5 = 72.

Counting hands can be challenging but there are strategies for simplifying the complicated ones.

What to put down first for pegging with 6,7,8,9?

Your hand is 6,7,8,9. A hand that comes up a decent amount. What card do you put down first for pegging? Usually I put down the 8. Not sure if it really matters though.

Please help me understand.

I picked 2 different suits to throw off.

How does the computer selection make sense?

What to throw, her kitty.

I kept the double run, Kingston was cut.

Level up your game

Found this gem. If anyone out there is as much of a nerd about cribbage probabilities as I am, this is a good book to have on hand.

For the record, I'm not Anthony Myers, nor am I selling anything.

What we keeping

Your crib, need 20 to go out, and your opponent needs 6 to go out. You keeping good points for pegging or going for a lucky cut? (I tossed 4 5 into the crib)

Manual Scoring on Cribbage Pro

Been playing for a bit but just started manual scoring.

Is there a way to see if my scoring was accurate?

I don’t have Muggins turned on but I assume the computer will let me know I undercounted by taking those points. Is it possible to overcount?

Cool variant of the game

Michaud Toys - Saskatchewan Canada

Very well machined with robust metal pegs and a magnetic cover for the pieces.
