First monarch from my milkweed

We've had a potted milkweed for over a year, and have defended it from aphids naturally by squishing them and unleashing ladybugs on em. It finally paid off! Last week I saw my first monarch caterpillar and literally jumped with joy. Today I go to water my thirsty plants from the intense heat, and found the chrysalis hanging out on my dead mint (RIP). I'm over the moon!

Pretty awesome being a fabricator and a gardener

Built a couple for me, and my dad, and as possible peace offerings to nyneighbors who have to listen to my grinders on the weekends lol. Just came to brag a little bit, but also ask what should I grow on it?

Guerrilla Gardening in Plano, Frisco

I have a small oak tree, sitting in a disintegrating pot in my yard. It popped up a couple of years ago, I assume from a squirrel. I don’t need another tree in my yard, so I was thinking of doing some Guerrilla Gardening and plant it somewhere that needs a tree.

Does anyone know of a place, preferably public, where I could plant the tree in the Plano or Frisco area?

What next?

Hi, All!

Got these four guys a couple of months ago and they have been doing pretty well since I repotted them from the little coco coir pots they came in. They were not well-rooted, but they seem to be doing okay. Can I get your thoughts on next steps?

Plant 1 (second photo) has an inflo, but not sure if it bloomed while I was gone last week.
Any chance I have flowers coming?
Plant 2 (third photo) has some spotting on leaves. Should I be concerned? If so, what should I do?

Plant 3 (fourth photo) has a bit of leaf deformity and the base of the leaves seem to be an odd yellow color. Thoughts?

Plant 4 (fifth photo) bloomed and has dropped its inflo. What do I do next? Any chance of flowering again?

What should I expect, in terms of lifecycle and care over the summer? I am in North Texas (Frisco).

Thanks! Discussion about HEB plumerias

Is my basil ok?

I'm just starting out with balcony gardening and I've had this basil from the supermarket for about a month. She's definitely growing a lot. I've pruned twice already. I water when the soil feels dry when i stick my finger into it. But some leaves are turning a pale yellow and have brown spots? I looked underneath the leaf and there's no fuzzy mold or anything and no bugs. Some leaves also seem to be curling and wilty? Am I overwatering? It is super hot now I live in Dallas TX. She gets mostly indirect sunlight out on my south facing balcony.

What the hell is wrong with my bell pepper plant?

I grew this bell pepper plant from seed (Survival Garden Seeds- rainbow mix)….what the hell is wrong with it? It’s looked this way for months with no flowering but continues to grow (all leaves looking the same-even new growth). I had a 10-10-10 fertilizer on it for awhile then went to a more phosphorus/potassium one and very little nitrogen (which I just started a month ago). Is the plant a lost cause and I should start again??

Don't Buy From Native Gardeners In Arlington

Native Gardeners sold me two trees that they represented as single, 5 gallon trees, only for them to turn out to be 4-5 tiny trees with their root balls heavily intertwined. To be clear, these were 100% separate little trees. No crotch whatsoever. They were falling apart; connected only by fine roots. I called them and explained the issue the same day I opened the boxes (they day I received the second order and one day after receiving the first), and waited weeks for a callback that never came.

When I called them again, and waited a few hours for another callback, they refused to do anything for me because I hadn't thought to take pics within 24 hours of taking delivery. (Yes, that absurd policy is buried deep in their website, but hey, I wouldn't want to advertise that either, if I where them). And you'd think, if it was absolutely indispensable to have rapid pictures, they would have told me that on the initial phone call, but no - not a word about that until it was too late. It didn't matter that I still had physical possession of the little trees and could have showed them all manner of current images, they only wanted what they knew I couldn't produce. Weird, right?

They were also pretty brazen and patronizing about it, trying to suggest that I had accidentally torn apart multi-trunked trees, (fathom the absurdity of doing that by accident), and so it was actually my fault... or maybe the growers, because they just come that way; definitely not theirs. Basically whatever justification was needed so that I would go away and let them keep my $180.

If you are on the west side of DFW, I recommend EcoBlossom - they've always treated me right.

Can anyone identify this vine?

It's smothering a rose bush and starting to spread into the yard. It's not spreading with runners, rather, it's just popping up every few feet into the yard. The leaves are thin/soft, shaped like arrowheads, with the fluting at the end. How do I get rid of it?
