Hi all! We are renters in oak cliff and looking for a gas’s alternative. I love the idea of a clover lawn but I’ve had trouble finding a definitive answer on the ethics of planting a non-native clover variety as ground coverage. Right now, our lawn is overrun by massive painful sticker burrs and I’m desperate to throw something else down to fight with it. I hate the idea of grass that needs to be watered as I’m aggressive to pretty much all grass (including the burrs we have. Each prick swells and burns like crazy) but we do have a sprinkler system, so whatever we plant will get plenty of water. Looking for any ideas for low maintenance that will fight with the grass we have now. Since we’re renting and only here for two more years, I’m not the most devoted. Right now our backyard is super lush st Augustine which we’ve never given much thought to (and I am allergic to) but damn if I don’t hate how nice it looks…. Not a single weed in sight somehow, though we’ve killed about half of it without our garden lol! Anyways… If anyone has ideas for low maintenance options I can lowkey guerrilla garden on to our front lawn pls give me advice! I’m so sick of the sticker burrs!!!! FUCK A STICKER BURR!

Is anyone else having issues trying to touch the blue comments to search in the comment section? Every time I try it will like or dislike the comment and won’t let me search. I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks at this point and I don’t see anyone else talking about it. My app is up to date as well.

My friend and her boyfriend just finished moving her to Detroit and wanted to see the border before they returned the rental car. They ended up in a spot where they couldn’t turn around, and had to cross the border. The guards told them it’s okay and they’ll be able to just turn back around afterwards, but at the last minute brought border patrol over and took them both into custody. She is an American citizen and was released after about an hour, but he is a Palestinian refugee, and despite filing all paperwork has an expired visa. He has documentation of his attempts to reinstate his visa and a valid passport. It’s been about 4 hours now and they won’t give her any updates. They made him sign paperwork to allow them to search his phone etc. she’s super worried he will be held or deported, despite all of this being an accident and his attempts to reinstate his visa. Is there any advice on what she can do while he’s still at the border?

I have an instax pal that was accidentally switched to “link” mode from “fun” mode and I’m hoping I can recover the photos taken? It was never linked to a printer but the flash went off and pics were taken when it was accidentally switched to “link” mode by someone else. Are the pics gone or is there a way I can recover them in the app or by plugging the camera in?

I’m fairly new to needlepoint and about to start my 3rd project, which is 13” tall, so I’m looking for a stand. I’ve always stitched in hand but with this larger canvas, I can’t imagine it will be comfortable. I don’t want to spend. Crazy amount of money for a system 4 as most of the canvas will just be done in continental stitch, maybe something fun for the background, so I don’t feel it’s necessary to get something too fancy. A smaller lap top holder would be preferred as I normally sit sideways on the couch. I’m looking for versatility at a decent price point! Send me your links please ;)
