So, Ive been recently playing Granny remake and the Original Granny and one thing come to my mind. You know how in original, you had this Ice Trap that when Granny stepped on, she got frozen and if you touch her, she will fall apart into pieces where you can even see meat inside of her body. But even then, she just simply dissapears and comes back to life again. Pretty weird huh? Then i remembered Angelina, her mother. When we free her from her chains, she crawls a little bit and then vanishes like Granny when freezed or shot. And then we can first see her in small spider form and then in big spider form in the cellar. So, my theory is, that Granny and her family is not only cursed with immortality, but after specific number of “deaths they mutate. And this is what happened to Granny in Remake.

In remake, she doesnt have her iconic basketball bat, yet she moves faster and her appearance has changed a lot. So, this means, every time, Granny or Angelina or Grandpa is shot, freezed or burned in sauna, they actually die and with every death, they are closer and closer to mutation.

Also, the fact that in Remake you can actually call the cops on her, which you couldnt do in the original, means she is now closer to civilisation than before.
