but I’m still very confused on how G.D works

Kazuichi unlike most of the cast acts his age. He's horny like what you would except from a teenager. Awkward. Also sensitive. He has a way more believable backstory than most of the characters in the series. His backstory is a beautiful story about trust. Disturb. Isolation. And change ( I promise I'm not using AI btw this Is just how I talk about writing 😭 ).
Him and His bestfriend were once taking a test. His best friend asked him if he can cheat from him. Kazuichi agreed but they both ended up getting caught. His friend tried to put the blame on kazuichi saying it was kazuichi's fault and he made him cheat off of him forcefully. Lying about the situation. Kazuichi still forgave him and told him ( I don't care. As long as I'm helping you out I don't mind getting suspended ).
His best friend surprised by this didn't talk to him again ( hajime and soda agreed it's probably because of the guilt ). After that soda changed. Before he had black hair and glasses. He got a change to look more intimating by wearing pink eye contacts and dying his hair and sharpening his teeth. So people can avoid him. He was broken by the fact that his best and only friend left him. So he didn't trust anyone anymore. because he thought people used him and didn't actually care about him. He probably thought that guy didn't see him as friend because if he was TRULY kazuichi's friend. He wouldn't have left. Punks and hot girls started talking to him. But he was pretty nervous
That's why kazuichi loves hajime so much at the beginning. Because hajime didn't seem to rely on anyone for their talent. Just for who they are. He even calls him his "soul brother". And wanted to match shorts with him. It's a really sweet moment where he finally learns to trust again even in a dire killing game. But then the best thing happens. The "distrust"
In chapter 4 kazuichi gets suspicious of hajime. But why didn't he really love him as a friend ?. It's because he got scared. He is getting deja Vu. His best friend ( hajime ) is now acing weird. Same thing that happened before before his best friend left him. Not to mention that the stakes here we're higher. Hajime could have been the traitor. And it makes sense for kazuichi to distrust him. But what i absolutely love is that he always tells hajime ( hey man. Nothing personal against you. I'm just suspicious. You can't blame me. I'm sorry ). Which shows he truly still loves hajime. Even at his worst. Which shows kazuichi isn't bad or a traitor to Friendship. He's just scared his new best friend will Betray him again. Since the situations are extremely similar but here it's more dangerous. To the point where you can't spend free time with him in chapter 4 Since he will reject it
Then in his free time events. Oh my god. He tells hajime something PERFECT. ( Thank you. You made me realize that I wasn't afraid to be betrayed...no..I was too scared to trust anyone. No matter what happens from now on I'll believe in you. But I might get suspicious if you're acting weird ). This is one of the best lines in free time events HISTORY in the entire series. It concludes everything so beautifully. It shows no matter how hard it is. Kazuichi admitted to being too scared. And no matter what. He'll trust hajime and believe good in him. He might get suspicious sure. But he still trusts him. Just like hajime did for him
Of course he loves Sonia so much because he was poor. Being the only source of income for the family. So he saw Sonia as this rich amazing perfect like girl. He doesn't actually love sonia. Since he gets weirded out by her personality with occults and stuff. He loves the CONCEPT of Sonia. He is perverted sure. But he doesn't mean anything bad. He never goes beyond boundaries. He also dislikes teruteru. ( Btw teruteru in 1 minutes of dialogue told Sonia to basically help him suck his dick but in a tricky way. That's literally far worse than kazuichi has ever done 😭. 1 MINUTE OF DIALOGUE VS 6 FUCKING CHAPTERS ).
is he horny ? Yes. Like most of us. Don't act like you're an angel who isn't as horny as kazuichi in your private time. Can he come off as creepy ? Yes. But he doesn't mean anything bad by it because he doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't understand people. It's not an excuse. It's a reason. You know damn well if someone told kazuichi to stop what he's doing because it's creepy he would stop. He's just too dense to realize it. But him and Sonia have an actual healthy relationship. Sonia doesn't hate him at all. She actually even disagrees with calling useless and tells him he is doing his best. She is just a little uncomfortable sometimes. Which absolutely makes sense and it shows how Sonia is also an amazing person. She understands kazuichi and knows he's not that bad. And still values him as friend
