Update to the update: All things Dimension 20!

Link to the previous post! A few corrections to my last updated version of my poster. I previously had Ify in the cast of MisMag instead of Lou for some reason, I forgot to add in Gladlands and On A Bus. All of these transgressions have been rectified!

I call this a poster because hopefully it soon will be! I have had an older version of this hanging in my bedroom as a printed out poster for about 2 years, it is time for an update! It will need a new frame, as I organized the vertical space a lot better this time around, leaving less empty space but it is a lot more narrow.

I would be happy to send out the original large PNG privately if anyone would like it.

edit: Upon review, the Crown of Candy is in the wrong place. I'll correct that for my own purposes before I print it out but I won't make a new reddit post just for that.

Here's a link to an older version of this from 3 years ago!

Sell me on Gladlands?

Hey y'all - after making it through entirety of D20's backlog (yes, even "Shriek Week") over the course of three years I found myself utterly defeated by the first two episodes of Gladlands and took a break, and now am a full two seasons behind going into Toylight (Three if we count "On a bus", which I haven't watched either). I'm used to the first couple of episodes being table setting, but I didn't get hooked by the end of episode two this time. I found the opening of Gladlands really low stakes and it just kinda didn't grab me. It just...felt like a single sketch stretched into 6 hours and it didn't hit for me. Convince me to give it another chance? I enjoy all the players on an individual comedic level and would love to find a reason to push past whatever is holding me back here. Seeking some positive opinions.

Brennan is my Grandma

Every day for the past year, I’ve listened to D20 every night when I go to sleep, because it helps my mind latch on to something and not race, and now every time I hear Brennan’s voice, I feel like a child being read a bedtime story my their grandma.

Thank you grandma Brennan🫶.

Updated my full cast poster!

It’s been a couple years but I updated my poster of all shows and cast members! The upper section is proportional to episode runtime and the bottom graph is based on airing date.

Does anyone else get like this about at least one NPC every season?

I feel slightly less ridiculous because the cast seems to have at least one pet NPC every season too.

What would a D20 take on the Soulsborne franchise and themes be like?

Had this thought while watching the trailer for the upcoming season, and honestly, something really vigorously challenging and really demanding would be interesting, at least as a fan.

Doesn’t hurt that most of the games have a very big bias against authoritarian power structures

Just finished Safe Harbor...

>!Omg that title was a lie. I am crying with Emily and Siobhan. I am literally not ok. Jet has been one of my favorite characters of any character from the seasons I've seen so far. I'm heartbroken. And it caught me so so off guard. I was so ready for a role playing episode with, certainly not no danger, but less danger. Definitely not her dying. I'm going to need a minute to recover from this😭😭😭!<

>!I'm so scared to continue but I'm also so hooked ughhhh I'm going to miss her so much!<

My tshirt had the whole class concerned 😆

I was in a screenprinting class and for the first lesson, we had to choose something simple to learn the process with. I chose to recreate this iconic Lou moment from an Adventuring party. I had other students coming up to me being like “dude allergies are so rough” 😆

Next D20 Campaign after Mentopolis

I've been a fan of dropout for a while after watching plenty of shorts and finally getting a subscription and while I've been very curious about d20 I've found it a bit intimidating to get into.

I know there's a few different guides but I've found they don't really have the info I'm looking for.

Mentopolis is the only campaign I've seen of there's (or really any actual play except for a couple episodes of the adventure zone) and I am a few episodes into fantasy high but I dropped it a few months ago (last I remember was the vampire bar)

I love the story telling, characters and world building of Mentopolis and enjoyed the simplified combat. While I've played DND the alternating combat and story episodes hasn't really clicked with me as I enjoy listening to them without watching, and find the miniature combat of fantasy high to slow the pacing when I still want the actual story of that combat.

I do want to see Sephy's story play out and have heard good things about that campaign, but I'm essentially wondering,

what are other theater of the mind campaigns (combat wise)?

What are good starting campaigns?

And what campaigns have a similar depth to Mentopolis?

Thanks!!

Darkness Man in a Nutshell

Sorry if this has been posted before but I’m catching up on King of the Hill and this reminded me of our dark protector

If you pay VERY close attention you can spot the subtle signs that let you know your ADHD meds wore off halfway through your workday.

I chose the satire flair because I couldn't decide, which should provoke many "Um, actually! This is parody, not satire." My response would be that of any reasonable person and SMOKEBOMB!

City Council of Darkness: a question about HJ's powers in episode 3 (or maybe 4)

I know that Dimension 20 sometimes plays loose with existing rules, or uses customized rulesets, and I am not up to date with the current Vampire rulebooks; but to attend the horror movie screening party, HJ "changes the structure of his face" by using a vampiric power.

Isn't HJ a Ventrue though? And isn't this sort of "flesh shaping" basically Vicissitude and a discipline strictly reserved for Clan Tzimisce?

I am not nitpicking or criticizing. I just want to understand, whether I'm missing something, and the rules have changed, or if Brennan/Dimension 20 just bend the rules a lot in this case.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

Never stop blowing up irreparably damaged Brennan

I just finished CCOD and I don't think BLM ever made it back from the hysteria of NSBU. The cat is out of that bag and we will never have a sane ending again. I can't decide if that is bad or not??
