Spray the tree with isopropyl alcohol.
Follow this rather quickly with a 50/50 mix of pva glue and water. Yes this is rather thick and that's how I wanted it. It should help to further strengthen the trees and increase their durability even further.
This will probably take a few days to dry at which point I'll be able to determine if a second soaking of pva is needed.
Ran a pair of learning/demo games this week using the 2e starter box and had a great time, and re-reading the rules afterwards was very helpful. Is the rulebook from the starter box (a5, printed in late 2019) the full 2e ruleset or a trimmed-down intro version?
Behemoth rules make me think it's the complete package butI recall something about reactive fire being in the game but didn't see it in these rules - is that perhaps a system that was in first ed but didn't make it to the second?

Type 4 Walkers have Resilient rule so no criticals...but...
Weapons of energy 9 or 10 now negate Resilient as does "blast" template weapons (used to be area).
