Hey folks! I'm getting back into this game after years. Played back when it was owned by another company. Don't remember much about the strategy cards. I read up on the 3.0 rules and watched a couple battle reports, can't say I'm a huge fan of them. I saw that only in Skirmish-sized games are they optional, but I wanna know how the game is in that sense. How is it without cards? If I were to play larger sized games without cards, would it still be generally fun?

For video games, I've recently been playing a lot of Darkest Dungeon, IRON NEST, Bodycam and occasionally hop on VRChat to go people-watching.

I absolutely love Horror movies. Not to say I dislike other genres, The Incredibles is my favourite movie of all time, but I love watching really bad horror movies (and occasionally really good ones). My favourite horror movie of all time is John Carpenter's 'The Thing' (not the 2011 remake though. That was crap).

I have a very open schedule right now since I work 12 hour shifts three days a week. Plus, my job is very relaxed, and it's not hard to get a hold of me. Would love to chat with ya throughout the day!

I am very much a sociable person, would love to hit you up on discord and do voice calls if you'd like the same. Especially since I tend to be busy with my hands at all times, plus VC is just very comfortable for me.

I'm super fine with long distance to a certain degree. I'd strongly prefer somewhere within North America, as it'd be easier to eventually close that distance down the line.

Hey folks! Split the starter with a friend of mine and got the Zerg half. I've been reading up on cards and abilities and had a question about the Overlord card. The rule is as written:

*VENTRAL SACS: [ACTIVE] Set a Faction Indicator anywhere in the battlefield more than 10" away from any Enemy model. At the End of the Round, the controlling player may Deploy one Ground unit from Reserves in base-to-base contact with this Faction Indicator*

Does this ignore the supply limit? If, for example, a mission started us with 8 Supply and I spend all 8 of it deploying my units as normal but then place that faction indicator, could I then deploy another unit for effectively no supply cost at the end of the round?

I've been into the FNAF franchise for years despite never playing it, deep-dove into Amnesia: The Bunker, and even recently have been into Alien: Isolation. I'm fascinated by horror in general. Haunting in Connecticut, The Conjuring, the Ouija movies, all very fun to watch (although admittedly tend to be very predictable). We should stay up late and watch horror movies sometime 😎

Whenever I'm not having free time, it just means I'm having work time. That was worded very poorly, but it's my segue regardless. I'm a security officer. I work three twelve hour shifts, and tend to be easy to contact even when I'm there. My position is very laid back, so I'm usually able to keep my phone next to me for easy notification viewing.

I was having a bit of fun making a list for WoC. I was making a Monster Mash list, and found I could take 2 Giant Chaos Spawn, one per 1k points. However, I could also take another two out of the Beastmen list. The army builder I'm using doesn't seem to have a problem with it, but I wanna know if it's technically legal? For starters, I have a very open working schedule. At the time of writing I'm just finishing up one work schedule and soon to switch to another. I work three 12 hour shifts as a security officer, on days that are spread out. This means it's pretty easy for me to have time to hang out! I'll be completely free on weekends, and in the middle of the week. Ezpz. I also don't know where else to put this, so I'll just drop it here: I'm in the CST Timezone.

Outside of work, I spend a LOT of my spare time painting miniatures, playing tabletop games, or playing video games. My go-to titles are currently PEAK, VRChat, Contractors Showdown, Counter Strike 2, Tomodachi Life (Oh God am I into TDL...) and Team Fortress 2. These are not all I have in my library, and you'll come to find I'm willing to try out just about anything for games. Whatever gets me time spent with friends 😁

For the tabletop stuff, the two that folks usually bring up around me are DND and Warhammer. I haven't played DND, and I'm such a nerd for Warhammer I even have a tattoo for it (which I'll happily show if requested :P). Nowadays it's Kingdom Death and BLKOUT. I post my stuff on my profile, feel free to have a gander!

I love horror media. Movies, YouTube videos, I used to listen to Nexpo just to fall asleep. For movies, I find that I enjoy specifically supernatural kinda stuff. The more grounded in reality and gory stuff isn't for me, but ghosts? Demons? Give it all to me. I could watch the Conjuring and Insidious movies forever.

I like to think I'm an outgoing person. I'm as far from being an introvert as it gets, and most of the time that I'm doing anything, I'm usually in a discord call while doing so. Even if words aren't being said much, it's nice to have the company. I'm the type who definitely prefers voice calls over text, but I'm not gonna hardcore push on it or anything.

I'm looking for someone I can create a strong bond with. Someone to share my hobbies and interests with. No, it doesn't mean you gotta take up miniatures as a hobby or anything, but I hope you don't mind if I occasionally geek out a bit. I have no intention of rushing into a relationship, I would rather take things slow. Helps get both parties to truly know if it's what they want. I don't mind a long distance relationship as long as eventually it'll turn into meeting face to face and losing the long distance permanently.
