Anyone going to the gym with DPD, are there gloves avaliable that help? I train 3 times a week and my ring finger, the DP one, aches all time.

Ledderhose both feet
First noticed it on LF about a year and a half ago. Originally the size of an M&M, now about a peanut M&M. So that has slightly grown. And just now noticed it on my right foot for the first time, the size of a pea. 29 year old male. Google says alcohol abuse can be a contributing factor. I was a bad alcoholic for years, and wondering if others with ledderhose here were as well. I’m now 94 days sober and don’t plan on drinking again ever, for other reasons. Just wondering if anyone here has ever noticed direct correlation between Ledderhose and their alcohol intake?

Feeling pretty good now that I’m able to wash my hands and shower like normal again. When can I expect the swelling to fully go away?

Canadian treatment options
Hi fellow Canucks! As you know we have limited treatment options here. I have had surgery on my left hand with fairly good success but recovery was long and hard. We used to have the needle injection option (blanking on the name of it) but was told it was removed sometime just before the pandemic. Does anyone have experience traveling outside of Camada for this treatment? I am about 2 years away from another surgery but would like to explore less invasive options.
History - every single female in my family has it, I was first diagnosed at age 17 so Im used to expectations and speed of contractions forming.

Dupuytren's surgery tomorrow
Having surgery tomorrow morning on my left 4th and 5th fingers. Pretty severe contractures. 4th and 5th fingers 90 degrees or better.
How much pain can I expect post op?
Is the rehab bad?

Post surgery.
I previously had Xiaflex completed on my left ring finger but about three years later needed surgery on pinky ring and middle. It was a little more intense than Xiaflex and hope this will reduce symptoms in future. Before and after pics attached.

Depo Medrol Experience
Just thought I would report my results. I’m in early stages with no curving of any fingers but have nodules on my palm and in two first knuckles. The shot was in my palm. It took some time but I found a provider and got the shot. The injection hurt like hell for about ten seconds, and my cost without insurance was about 500$. The nodule significantly softened and has noticeably shrunk, though the dr said it wouldn’t, and no longer causes any problems. It was definitely worth it to me.

DD Advice Needed!
Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice and some hope with my DD diagnosis. For context, I am a 22 y/o female with no family history of Dupuytren’s, I also am starting dental school this fall.
I first noticed a small nodule about 2 years ago between my fourth and fifth fingers in my right (dominant) hand. During one of my yearly physicals I briefly mentioned it to my doctor and they misdiagnosed me with a ganglion. Fast forward to now, I noticed it was progressing to a more cord-like formation and decided to bring it up again to my PCP, they sent me a referral to ortho where the PA told me I had DD but basically told me there was nothing I could do and to wait until my fingers can no longer lie flat while doing the palm on table test.
I love dentistry but it is very technical and requires dexterity and precise hand motions. I am really worried about this disease progressing and limiting my mobility in school and my future career. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I am trying to see a hand surgeon but am unable to get an initial consultation until 6 months from now. Right now it is not currently limiting my mobility in dentistry, will the disease always progress to full contractures? Any insight/words of encouragement would be much appreciated!!

Are the lumps moveable and do they move with movement of finger?
I found a lump underneath my ring finger, of course I googled it and it led me to this condition.
However, I read that these lumps are solid and can’t be pushed around freely, nor do they clearly move up and down with the movement of the finger.
Is this accurate at all?
