Do simple pleasures like this stay with you as you age?

I'm in my 50s, and one of my favorite simple pleasures has never changed. I still love sitting in the sunshine with my long hair loose, feeling the breeze blow it across my back and skin. It makes me feel happy, peaceful, connected to nature... and honestly, still a little sexy. 😊

I've loved this feeling since I was a teenager, and I'm grateful it hasn't faded with age.

For those of you in your 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond, do you still have simple sensory experiences like this that bring you the same joy they always did? Has that feeling of being fully alive in your body and connected to the world stayed with you as you've gotten older, or has it changed over time?

I'd love to hear your experiences.

Canadian treatment options

Hi fellow Canucks! As you know we have limited treatment options here. I have had surgery on my left hand with fairly good success but recovery was long and hard. We used to have the needle injection option (blanking on the name of it) but was told it was removed sometime just before the pandemic. Does anyone have experience traveling outside of Camada for this treatment? I am about 2 years away from another surgery but would like to explore less invasive options.

History - every single female in my family has it, I was first diagnosed at age 17 so Im used to expectations and speed of contractions forming.

Every morning since 1997

Every single morning since 1997, my lovely husband brings me coffee in bed. Some days its me bringing it... but only if he's having a sleep in. I am so lucky and I have no idea what I'd do without him. As I type this right now, I am having my coffee in bed. Don't hate me.

Passed over for promotion

I have been getting good performance reviews and my colleagues all get alone well. Being remote is great but I went to my manager and explained that 70% of the work I am currently doing is at a senior manager level. I was told that my role will only ever be manager level. I am not going to be petty and work to rule because 1) I take pride in my work ethic and 2) it's not in me but to get over this? I'm 99% sure it's due to being remote but nobody admits this. Remote workers please help a sister out. How to deal?

Kid free (or mostly) breweries

I have been from Sooke to Port Hardy and have found for some reason parents like to bring their kids out drinkin with them. Typically the kids are running around bored as you would because its not a fucking playground and I have to watch my language around minors because I'm a decent fucking human. Where can I find a grown up brewery with no kids (dogs = yes) and just relax?

100% inspired by the kid free restaurant post.
