Need serious help.

Need serious help.

I purchased this 2016 RAM Ecodiesel at an auction after cranking it over there, everything sounded healthy and I knew the tone rings on these were a common problem so I thought I’d roll the dice. Well I’ve been working on the truck about a month now and I’ve now replaced a stuck injector, replaced the glow plugs, replaced the tone ring, did the fuel filter, and have diagnosed everything I possibly know how. I am getting 4600psi at the rails, all injectors are good now, lift pump is pushing 60psi up to the CP4 tone ring is replaced and engine shows RPM when cranking…..I’m stumped.

Another mention is that this truck was deleted at some point, maybe the delete tune is hiding codes I don’t know can’t access any of that and I don’t want to spend $800+ for a tune file on a truck that doesn’t start. Weird symptoms though no codes but coolant temp shows -40 degrees (replaced the sensor too), it will light off starting fluid but won’t stay running at all.

Also did a leak down test showed no loss of air in cylinder + cylinder balance test checked out so compression is good (most likely).

If anyone has a tune they’d sell for cheap or knows something I don’t I would literally pay for the right advice

Potential Eco diesel owner. But there’s a P0299 code

So I’m looking at this Eco diesel and I test drove it today. The guy made me aware of a code. Obviously, I’m hesitant. The truck seems to drive fine but as soon as I get on the interstate and try to speed up, it’s like the turbo doesn’t wanna kick in and I’m pressing down on the gas harder and nothing really wants to happen. Has this happened to anybody before and is it still worth looking at?

I’ve looked into different videos, such as cleaning the sensor or it can possibly need a new turbo… any advice here would be great

It is a 2016 ram 1500 Eco diesel with the ego diesel of Canada delete done with the transmission tune done by the same company four-wheel-drive with 140,000 miles. List price is 11,000.

2015 JGC 118k mile issues

Just took it to the dealer because I had oil in the coolant after having my oil cooler replaced by a guy locally. I Was doing a few flushes myself when the check engine light came on for the crank position sensor. Dealer wants to replace the entire cooling system, do "multiple flushes" and change the sensor/tone wheel for $10k? Is it worth it to sell the Jeep to them for 2k and walk away? Or should I try other local Diesel shops in hopes it would be cheaper? Do I try to sell on marketplace for parts? I feel stuck.

Help Motor Locked up during shop repair!

About 2 weeks ago I got a P200A code, so I took my truck to a shop for diagnosis. They recommended replacing the intake. The intake came in Monday and they started the repair. The truck was supposed to be done Wednesday, but after they put everything back together it wouldn’t start.

By Friday they tore the motor back down and told me the engine is now locked up because carbon supposedly fell into a valve and the piston hit the valve. The truck never ran after the repair attempt.

There is also now a pretty noticeable scuff/dent on the fender from what looks like removing the battery during the work.

The shop is now asking me to approve a replacement engine. I have never heard of this happening from an intake replacement and haven’t found many similar situations online.

Can carbon buildup actually cause an engine to lock up like this during startup, or does this sound more like something went wrong during the repair/reassembly process? What are my options? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Coolant leak on 2020 gen 3

I have a coolant leak that seemed to come from somewhere I couldnt see on my 2020 gen 3. I read online that it's really common to have the coolant line to the turbo leak. But once I got the intake manifold off I don't see that line where everyone says it should be. Does anyone know if the 2020+ models fixed that issue and moved ?
