To whomever shot off fireworks at 440am in Lakeside/Laguna West, please know I don't have enough middle fingers for you. Two am, okay. But 440am?!

How many of you guys still work in the bay? If you’re hybrid, will you keep up with this long term? We love EG but can’t imagine the commute long term with SF job.

I’m looking to take my kids to see fireworks today and want to avoid the traffic and paying for parking in general. What are some good alternatives without having to walk super far?

I know it is the 4th. And fireworks are a huge thing! But please use them SAFELY!!! It is still an explosive! And it can harm you!!

Additionally please be mindful of the combat verterans today. Fireworks may be a trigger for ptsd.

Others who may be sensitive to fireworks include victims of gun violence, individuals with photosensitive disabilities, babies, and animals.

I am sure i missed some sensitive groups but please be mindful and be safe.

I saw a post from a couple days ago. They were “checking smog” certificates.

I assume they were doing this to get around DUI checkpoint laws. Just another way for them to harass people. Typically the less financially secure people.

As someone posted. They do require very specific requirements to make a DUI stop constitutional. Am I wrong to think this is a work around?

They say it’s voluntary. But I don’t believe it. And others say they were told it was not.

Did anyone else see this checkpoint or even went through it?

Looking for a daycare/ child care center for my 2.5 year old son. He will be 3 in December.

We had a bad experience with an in home daycare so we are looking to try again somewhere new.

I’m having the hardest time finding an eye doctor in Elk Grove that serves young children. I’ve been taking my son to a doctor in Folsom, but I’d really like to be able to take him somewhere closer. Does anyone know of any offices that will do exams on toddlers and preschoolers?
