Is my baby gifted?

My husband and I have an 8 month old. He is crawling, cruising, and working on standing independently. He has 4 teeth with 2 more quickly coming in.

Very early on he learned coordination with a drumstick from.his toy drum set.. he seems to get bored with his toys quickly. He babbles up a storm and is now working on a K sound and an N or M sound.

If I hold 2 objects of different colors.. say a yellow boat and a blue boat and ask him to pick the yellow one he does so with 100% accuracy. (He is still a baby so sometimes he just knocks both out of my hand and continues playing lol). He also knows how to put things in a bucket. He can pull open drawers. He passed from hand to hand early around 6/7 months.

He loves his books, animals, different textures, and music.

Is there a potential he is gifted?

I was a johns hopkins burnout and I want to aid his learning without burning him out.

Would montessori school benefit him? (Like for elementary)

Fireworks reminders

I know it is the 4th. And fireworks are a huge thing! But please use them SAFELY!!! It is still an explosive! And it can harm you!!

Additionally please be mindful of the combat verterans today. Fireworks may be a trigger for ptsd.

Others who may be sensitive to fireworks include victims of gun violence, individuals with photosensitive disabilities, babies, and animals.

I am sure i missed some sensitive groups but please be mindful and be safe.

Planning a Pokémon 1st bday

Hi all! My husband and I are planning a 1st bday party for our baby and the theme is pokémon! Baby WILL be picking their Gen 1 starter pokémon!! (as much as I hope for bulbasaur I think baby will pick squirtle XD)

I need some input on what food/drinks to serve because I was never into the show and only began collecting when I met my husband aside from an errant Bidoof and psyduck that I had when we met.

My first Idea was a sandwich bar and some onigiri as a main, fruit, and pokémon puff pastries? Idk i saw they were a thing.

What do they eat in the show? What are some other ideas?

Also some game and prize ideas would be great! I saw Target has a huge collab rn and colorpop? I am so excited! But the food definitely has me stumped!

And if there is enough interest I can update with which starter baby chose! (Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle cuz I guess Pikachu isn't a starter??)

Alternate Mexican Places?

My family really likes items from Pig Latin... but it costs an arm and a leg to do there. (I like the Baja shrimp tacos with the shrimp grilled and we all love the queso blanco - if y'all have recipes for these items please share!!)

El Jardin is close to us... but the food feels less than stellar. To a point that I'd rather eat at Chipotlé.

Lindas? Taco truck FANTASTIC gone before I get home cuz they say they close at 6 but it is really more like 5:30.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Has anyone ever heard of an entity named Pemdora?

I am asking because this morning I had a really terrifying dream this morning featuring some entity called Pemdora very specifically Pem not Pan.

The contents of the dream were: She was an evil entity. She had this woman forever in this liminal space just playing a game for her and like her sister was like sobbing about it and I was trying to fix it. And then this statue head that never moved before... the line turned 90⁰ idk how to explain it. But it like turned and it just felt weirdly scary and i woke up.

Has anyone heard of an entity called Pemdora or any name similar? Or was this just a very weird instance of intense dreams?

Before I had my baby I was an AVID Diva cup user (size 1). I swore by it up and down! *missing those days*

When I tried it upon my period returning I was so sad it wouldn't fit correctly and would slide out.

I used a "find my fit" tool from a menstral ladies website.. and I was "matched" with the Saalt cup. The purple one the regular? I guess. It never opens. It is painful. And it is too wide. After multiple failed attempts over the last few months and so much frustration I tossed it.

Now I am back to pads. The pads, despite frequent changes, are causing a severe rash.

Thank goodness for diaper rash cream on hand, but I need a better period product solution!
