I built GunGuesser, basically GeoGuessr but for guns. More importantly, I made a dedicated Cursed Guns game mode for communities like this to enjoy.

the site is called: GunGuesser.com

Please let me know what cursed guns to add, the pool should be larger!

Would anyone know some gunsmith who does rear trunnion conversions?

Sending a gun to the states for that seems like an absolutely idiotic idea.

Getting a Czech gun license (Zbrojní průkaz) as a non-EU/non-NATO foreigner with temporary residence?

Hi everyone,

I am looking into the possibility of getting a firearms license (Zbrojní průkaz) in the Czech Republic, and I need some realistic feedback on how feasible this is for someone in my specific situation.

Here are my details:

  • Citizenship: Non-EU and Non-NATO citizen (third-country national).
  • Residency: I hold a temporary/long-term residence permit (dlouhodobý pobyt) in the Czech Republic, not a permanent one.
  • Goal: Sport shooting and eventually owning a firearm for range use.

I know that Czech gun laws are generally excellent, but from what I’ve gathered, being a non-EU/non-NATO citizen with only a temporary residence permit puts me in a bit of a gray area or a "may-issue" category, depending on how the police interpret the application.

I would highly appreciate insights from expats or locals who know the process:

  1. Legal Feasibility: Is it legally possible for a non-EU/non-NATO foreigner with just a temporary residence permit to get approved, or do the police almost always reject applications unless you have permanent residency (trvalý pobyt)?
  2. The Language Barrier: I know the exam must be taken in Czech without a translator. For those who weren't fluent but managed to pass, how did you handle the practical test and the dynamic commands given by the inspector? Is brute-force memorizing the theory questions enough?
  3. Home Country Clearance: Did the Czech police require a special document/clearance from your home country's embassy stating that your country doesn't object to you owning a gun abroad, or was a standard apostilled criminal record history enough?

Any realistic advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Time to buy a PCC

I need a 9mm PCC. I want it to be short, collapsible stock needs to be available, 20 round Mags and it needs to be possible to buy here in Germany.

So far I have considered these:

SP5K
Stribog A3
GHM9 Compact G
Kuna Pistol
Schmeisser DRS-9 PK-7 (will be released soon)
APC9

I want one PCC to rule them all but I like to save money for ammo and more guns as well.

I want to hear your thoughts, opinions and experiences.

Edit: can anyone point me to collapsible stocks for the Stribog available in Europe?

People on this subreddit who don't support gun rights?

I noticed that some people on this subreddit actually support strict gun laws. For example, one person said that he is happy that people cannot carry guns in our country (Croatia). I knew that people like that exist, but I didn’t expect to find them on this subreddit.

If you don’t support gun rights, why are you here?

My latest addition

Schmeisser m4fl ar15, I like to think I got a pretty good deal on it, it’s lightly used (prev owner only had about 300 rounds through it) paid 1700€ and it came with a holosun optic which I swapped for an eotech as u can see in the pic. As a lefty I like that it’s fully ambi, haven’t shot it yet so hopefully it lives up to my expectations. Trigger feels real crisp so it should be plenty of fun.

My favorite WW2 rifle

The SVT-40 must be my most favorite WW2 rifle in the collection.

It's a chunky boy but works really well for me. Most Russian guns do. I also love the design of it. So far it has served me well with virtually no issues.

I even shoot some competition with it. We have a discipline here in Belgium which is exclusively shot with military rifles or their civilian counterparts.

Lok grips in Europe?

I'm looking for a dealer with Lok grips for a CZ Shadow 2 (full size) in stock. I'd prefer if I didn't have to use bank transfer to pay for them, it's a hassle. Paypal or card is good.

How to join in Danish gun politics

Hey everyone so as the title might give away I'm looking into joining in on working towards common sense gun ownership laws in Denmark, as our current laws make no sense and contain to many restrictions and gray zones. I've been looking for over a year unsuccesfully, I did today discover firearms united, but from what I could tell they are very dead, so I'd like to hear what the right move is to getting politically active with this and what orgs exist that may not have shown up in my search.

Kind regards :)

🇷🇴 Romanian PM Md. 93

I thought this sub might appreciate a look at a relatively obscure piece of history.

This particular example is a fully functional select-fire specimen. What makes this specific select-fire example truly interesting is the fire control group. Unlike the standard Soviet RPK, the Romanian Md. 93 features a four-position selector: Safe, Full-Auto, 3-Round Burst, and Semi-Auto.

What really impressed me is the effectiveness of the 3-round burst at distance. Even at 100 meters (around 100 yards), all three rounds consistently land within the torso of a standard silhouette target.

Interestingly, unlike most 5.45 AK variants that moved to polymer or bakelite, this one still runs the Romanian-specific steel 45 round 5.45 magazines.

As far as I know, these guns are exceptionally rare in a civilian collection. While semi-auto parts kit builds exist, finding an original, functioning four-position PM Md. 93 is very rare. This particular rifle was manufactured in 1993 and is part of the first production run.

Too much time and a spray can

So this little Wischo .22lr single shot rifle was recently saved from the dump by me. Figured I might have some fun with it as the stock was already painted silver.

Blue spray, .22lr 'shotgun' cards, picatinny rail, scope and stickers "tactically acquired" from my kids 😅

I actually Iike this rifle more than I should 🤣
