The Italian Federation has announced the roster for Eurovolley.

S: Orro - Cambi
OP: Egonu - Adigwe
MB: Fahr - Danesi - Nwakalor - Meli
OH: Antropova - Sylla - Nervini - Giovannini
L: Fersino - Spirito

HC : Julio Velasco

The most notable changes is Antropova has been listed as an OH after playing it in the last friendly game vs Poland after Omoruyi's injury, Merit Adigwe was called to the roster as the second OP after being with the Mediterranean games roster.

The two have left their respective clubs and they will be playing in the Japanese League with Aleeza Aichi.

At the ongoing Euro BeachVolley Championships 2026 in Stare Jablonki , Poland 🇵🇱 which had significant importance now because 1 Quota Place was available for the winners in both Men’s and Women’s Events , the 1st Quota Places in Beach Vollyeball were confirmed today ( 16 August )

Men’s

As it turned out , the Men’s Final was between Hölting Nilsson/Andersson, E. 🇸🇪 and Mol, A./Sørum, C. 🇳🇴 in which the Swedish Pair came out in a 3-setter thereby helping Sweden 🇸🇪 win the 1st Quota Place up for grabs in Men’s Beach Volleyball and also the European Championships .

Here is how the final scores looked like :

Hölting Nilsson/Andersson, E.🇸🇪 vs Mol, A./Sørum, C.🇳🇴 : 2-1
Set 1 : 21-18
Set 2 : 18-21
Set 3 : 15-10

Women’s

In the Women’s Side , the finals were between Izuzquiza/Moreno Matveeva 🇪🇸 and Stam/Schoon 🇳🇱 in which the Dutch pair showed their class and came out winners comfortably thereby winning the European Champs and a Quota Place for Netherlands 🇳🇱 of 1 Pair for Women’s Beach Volleyball at Olympic Games 2028 .

Here is how the final scores looked like :

Stam/Schoon 🇳🇱 vs Izuzquiza/Moreno Matveeva 🇪🇸 : 2-0
Set 1 : 21-13
Set 2 : 21-11

So all in all in these exciting EuroBeachVolley Championships 2026 , it is Sweden 🇸🇪 who won a quota in men’s category and Netherlands 🇳🇱 who won a quota in women’s category

The offseason is painfully long. Even with EuroVolley starting, I just need the Serie A1 and Turkish league club season back right now.

Hello everyone! i hope this post is not against any rule. I wanted to watch the 2026 european championship but I found out it won’t be on VBTV (which i am subscribed to) but it’ll be on the CEV EuroVolley TV.

Does anyone know how the passes work? Can i sign up normally with the monthly one or do i need the weird, stupidly expensive, CEV Eurovolley pass M+W?
In my mind, an ALL ACCESS pass should show ALL games, but the fact that there’s that other specific one makes me think I might risk wasting money. But that would also mean that existing subscribers would have to pay another pass on top of their own (??!!). I don’t understand which pass includes what games…

Also, is there any other way to watch it? cause i would avoid another subscription if I could.

Since we are mostly focused on European volleyball here, I was curious if these US leagues are on your radar at all.

Italy beat Ukraine 3-1, 18-25 , 25-14 , 25-22, 25-20 in the second friendly match in Poland...Italy started with mostly their depth, but outside hitter, Loveth Omoruyi went down with a nasty injury in the second set (looks like an ACL/very serious knee injury) the game stalled for five minutes as players were in tears until she was rolled out on a stretcher. Get well soon Loveth 🙏

Italy will close the friendly tournament against hosts Poland, while Ukraine will play France.

The CEV European Beach Volleyball Championships are going to be held in Stare Jablonki , Poland 🇵🇱 from 12-16 AUG giving quotas to 1 Men’s Pair and 1 Women’s Pair who will be the winners of the respective competitions to make it to LA 2028

So , a total of 4 Athletes ( 2 Men and 2 Women ) are going to make it to the Olympics 2028 from this event

A total of 19 Different European Countries are going to take part in this competition across both men and women’s events so a pretty exciting competition

Men : On the Men’s Side , Sweden 🇸🇪 will be the favourites to get the quota as they have the highest ranked 2 pairs in FIVB Rankings among the European Teams so most likely they will get this one

Women : On the Women’s Side , Competition is set to be tougher as Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann (Germany) 🇩🇪and Nina Brunner and Tanja Hüberli (Switzerland)🇨🇭 are going to fight it out for the top spot and getting the quota place to the Olympics as they are the top ranked European pairs going into the tournament
