[IGTC] Four BMW M4 GT3 EVOs at the Suzuka 1000 km, no Pro entries 😢
The entry list for the Suzuka 1000km, the next round of the IGTC, has sadly been unveiled, revealing a disappointing lack of Pro entries for BMW.
Instead, fans will have to settle for four BMW M4 GT3 EVOs fighting in the lower classes: the No. 5 Team Studie (Yamaguchi/Hirota/Ara), the No. 69 WRT (McIntosh/Thompson/Harper), and the No. 89 Team KRC (Ruan/Oosten/Hesse) are relegated to the Bronze category, while Team KRC’s second car, the No. 10 (Lee/Farfus/Tomasoni), is left isolated in Pro-Am.

Does America need the IGTC when they have IMSA?
I love the Intercontinental GT Challenge. I really see it as a great collection of GT endurance classics between Bathurst, the Nürburgring, Spa, and Suzuka; however, its weakest point is North America.
Laguna Seca was a failure, and Indy was too, with absolutely empty stands despite a really solid lineup. Now, there is a third try at COTA in 2027.
At this point, I keep asking myself: does America need the IGTC when they have IMSA?
