For English songs by artists outside the Eurovision Bubble (See FAQ):

• Over 10M YouTube subscribers? Song must have <10M views (top version).
• Over 7M subscribers? Song must have <50M views.
• Over 5M subscribers? Song must have <100M views.

Rule 4: Recent ESC and National Final songs

Songs that

• Participated in the Eurovision Song Contest from 2021 onwards
• Participated in a National Final for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025 and 2026

are not allowed on the contest, as the majority of present users might know them already, defeating the contest's purpose of sending and discovering new music

FAQ

Can I submit songs by Eurovision artists?

Yes! We love new releases and hidden gems from Bubble artists. We discourage submitting their Eurovision song, but if the song didn’t win Eurovision then technically it’s allowed.

What is a ‘Bubble artist’?

Any Artist/Band who has competed in Eurovision or any National Selection. Aside from Rule 1, no other restrictions apply to their songs, even if the song is in English.

Why do the restrictions only apply to songs in English?

English hits are well-known in the countries most Eurovision Fans come from. Non-English songs rarely go global, so no limits.

What if the song I want to submit is only partly in English, do the restrictions still apply?

Bi-lingual/Multi-Lingual songs with English parts are not restricted as long as most of the song is not in English.

Some additional important information:

If you share multiple songs, please select only one of them to compete in Song Contest Sunday.

Covers of previously sent songs are allowed, if they are able to be looked up separately on YouTube/Spotify etc., alongside the original song. If this is the case, the cover is allowed. Covers of Eurovision winners are forbidden.

If you share an alternative version (such as an English or live version) alongside your song, said performance will also be linked in the Song Contest Sunday post tomorrow.

Songs that are shared after the 5th of July 00:01 CET will not be considered for SCS. Please share your songs before that point!

If you decide to participate, please note the following schedule if you'd like to follow the contest! You will also be mentioned in the post if you submit an entry, but we are not quite sure how mentioning works yet, so don't rely on it!

• On Sunday, approx. 10:00 - 14:00 CET: Semifinals open for voting.
• On late Monday (time specified in Semifinal-Post): Semifinal voting closure and qualifier announcement shortly after.
• On late Tuesday (about 24h after qualifier announcement): Grand Final opens for voting
• On late Wednesday (at about the same time on Monday and Tuesday): Voting reminder launches on r/eurovisionfancontests, noting the current amount of votes and other information.
• On late Thursday (about 24h after voting reminder): Voting closure and results reveal.

You may host a preselection to decide your entry for SCS! But please consider the following things when doing so:

• User preselections will not be added to community highlights.
• User preselections for the next SCS may only be created after the result from the previous SCS have been released. If that isn't the case, your post will be removed.
• Please comment the winner of your preselection under the SCS-Submissions post before Submission closure, or else we will not consider your entry as a part of that SCS edition!

Switzerland got independence from the holy roman empire

1650:

Shortly after a misterious man from the city of Lucerne claimed to see a 15-eyed angel, with 14 hands and 14 mouthes. This man died shortly after but some people from the region claimed to have seen this angel too, beginning the spark of a new religion.

1700:

A famous local legend/custom concerns a mysterious figure who first appeared shortly after the founding of the nation.

This anonymous, masked individual would make mysterious collages on the walls of provincial towns weekly, often featuring clippings from local newsletters and flyers along with images celebrating famous figures in the town.

The individual became known simply as the recap cutter. While the identity of the original recap cutter remains unknown - and indeed it is speculated that there was more than one person involved in such recap cutting in the olden days, the town now celebrates this story by continuing the legacy - although with modern technology it’s become an open secret who the current recap cutter(s) are.

This cut and paste heritage is so important to the cultural identity of the people that it is celebrated in the national anthem.

1750:

A hundred years later, almost everyone on Lucerne followed the religion and so they called this new god “Orangery”, and the religion Garasaesim, followed by the garasaese. They asked for independence to Switzerland but due to their small number of followers compared to Switzerland’s, this was not allowed.

1800:

After the religion started growing exponentially in size and population, the Garasaese asked the Swiss government for independence but this was again denied, as the swiss were scared the orangerian would outgrow them and destroy them.

Thus, started the garasaese persecution where 50% of them died. This did not stop them, but they had to hide until they were strong enough to fight back. They also had to search an ally, a country near them but without major relationships to Switzerland.

1850:

After contacting with Spain and expanding through all Switzerlandr, the garasaese began the first rebellion against the swiss. They managed to expand but as the spanish hadn’t arrived yet with their army so they didn’t manage to do much.

1852:

The spanish troops arrived, and Switzerland began to worry. They contacted with many countries for help but finally the US joined the war. Although, do to their distance they could only help with bombs (Act like there was intercontinental bombs back then). As they couldn’t attack Orangery without attacking Switzerland, they sent a Bomba de Amor to Spain, making them get out of the war.

1855:

After 4 years of war, Orangery ended up winning to Switzerland, not through war but through the power of war but through the power of love :D (They sent 5 bombas de amor to Switzerland). They made Lucerne the capital and got independence.

1956:

Following World War II, a mass wave of immigration occurs in Orangery as Europe seeks to reunite itself. These immigrants mainly came from 7 countries — France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands. This helped establish Orangery as a nation that is open and proud to welcome people of all backgrounds. Today, immigrants from over 150 countries reside in Orangery.

13 May - 20 May 2007:

Protests occurred everywhere demanding Verka Serduchka be rightfully given the ESC win she deserved. Except Khaos told everyone to re-listen to Molitva and everyone remembered that it's actually quite a good song and stopped protesting.

18 March 2020:

After Coronavirus spread all over the world it finally struck Orangery, entering dark times for our nation. This day too Eurovision 2020 was cancelled, commencing the Covpocalips.

8 October 2020:

Recognition and speaking power for the people inside of what is nowdays Athenia had always been one of their biggest desires. Their efforts were sadly, largely unorganized and it were no match for the people in power of Rasaland who refused to recognize them.

That all changed once To Athena released her debut Album Aquatic Ballet which featured the song St. Alker. A strategically placed protest in that city on release day in addition to a lack of security measures inside the local parliament building due to Covid allowed some enranged protestors to try and "invade" it.

Their goal was to mess with the votes for their annual proposal of regional independence from Rasaland. At first there were only a few, but it gradually grew to be more and more until almost every protestor was inside of the building at some point.

Unfortunately their efforts were in vain, but there were no casualties. The punishment was minimal however. This sparked an online trend of some hopeful people trying to do what the protestors couldn't. Their efforts were, like the protestors, also unsuccessful, but it caused significant pressure.

8 April 2022:

The bigger region used to host a variety of song competitions and on April 8th, To Athena went to enter one with her new single Fäschtmol that she released on competition day. She won the televote with a landslide over one of the biggest artists of Rasaland that strongly supported the unity of the larger region and was strongly against Athenian independence.

In celebration of the victory an unorganized siege formed around St. Alkers parliament building. The people sang Fäschtmol for hours on end and even threw boomboxes that were playing the song inside of open windows at max volume.

They would not stop and refused to let anyone enter the building and thus sieged it. Their demands were the same as with the protestors invasions, but peaceful, which prevented any police interferance.

After a few hours, the people inside relented to the demands Athenian people, they wanted to go home to their families and there wasn't any food inside the buidling, and thus Athenia was born.

5 December-13 December 2023:

The 5th december, not much after Athenia gained independence, Solann releases her song Rome. The new leader gained a lot of followers, sparking a first rebellion in Athenia.

After a week of war, the Solanndian troops defeat the Athenians and ask for a portion of the Athenian land in exchange for a ceasefire. Thus, the new region of Solannd is created.
