Bella Quilt Coat…

…with FPP sleeves

For almost two years, I’ve been hanging on to some fabrics by Tula Pink for that ‘perfect project’ and it finally came to me 🦉🌙🧵
This was a really fun (and colourful!) project to put together.

Deco Diamonds in MCM pastels!

This is Deco Diamonds by Gingerly Quilt Co in the mid-century modern pastels colourway ❤️

It was so sunny today but I didn’t realise how windy it was - so I was lucky to get this photo as most of them were a bit windswept 😂 My biggest quilt finish yet, so I’m very proud of it 🥰

Home for the Holidays tree skirt

I'm so happy with how this FPP tree skirt turned out. My dad always had a model train under our Christmas tree when I was a kid so I decided I needed a train under my tree. 🎄

I got some advice on finishing a tree skirt to continue the bias binding past the edge so that it could be used as ties and it worked so well.

Pattern: Home for the Holidays tree skirt by Quiltbynight (me!)

Fabric: Bella Solids (and some secondhand poinsettia fabric that I had in my stash as backing)

When to take the paper out

I am working on my second FPP project and need some help. When do you take the paper out of the section you put together? I am making a Batman quilt (inspired by one I saw on Reddit) and have completed the Joked and am moving on to do 7 more characters. I already know I am over my head, but I am going full steam ahead. Should I take the paper out after completing the character or do I take all the paper out at the same time? Is there a different way you would do this? Would you cut out the shapes, lay them on top of each other and do more of a collage? Any help is much appreciated!!

(Pictures taken in a screen porch, that’s why there is a pattern on the pattern)

Update: learning to design

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and. Shout out to aynex21 offering to design it!

We are sitting at 18 x 20 inches

Seeking advice for how I divided up my “quadrants”.

Any tips or critiques welcome!

Quilt assistant for windows is great, would recommend. I used touch draw 2 for iPad to take it on the go.

Much thanks

I am making a 50"x50 quilt block and would like it to be rectangular

Pattern is Skull and Roses from Floweria on Etsy. Any advice? I am stumped and I started this so I didn't have to think much. Sigh.

Work in Progress

This is definitely my biggest and most detailed FPP I ever worked on, custom pattern by pitchers Boutique.

Face is finally done, I realized I was really in for a ride when I finished his nose and it was about 2X life size of the dog hahah.

September 2026 block of my temperature quilt

Hello everyone! Another month has passed, so there’s another block of my temperature quilt to share! The temperatures where I am in New Zealand stayed relatively constant - daily high temperature was between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.

Pattern is Koru Geese Block by Sublime Stitchery

My First FpP piece

I decided to make a table Runner for my mom, as a Christmas present. After having to restart multiple times because I messed up the dry fitting/the angle of the next piece of fabric, I am finally done 🥲
There is some little mess ups in there still but all in all I am happy with it.
The picture (you might have to click on it to see the full picture)is from before I added the backside and also gave it a good press, so that’s why the edges are raw still.

Loving this FPP pattern

Hoping to make my daughter a nice queen size quilt with a variety of these. Each block is 10” so it shouldn’t take too long ☺️ I’m thinking of also adding her name using FPP letters along either the top or bottom. Liza Taylor Handmade pattern off Etsy

Basketball theme quilt

I want to use these fpp blocks from PatternsbyShaley to make my niece a twin size quilt. I have only done fpp as mini quilts or hangings before, never combined them yet into a larger piece. Any ideas on what pattern to combine them with for the background/in between them, so I don’t have to make a ton of the fpp blocks, just have them mixed in? I’m thinking something dead easy to piece like jelly rolls. If it matters the colors will be navy blue, green, white (Celtics). TIA!
