I block any female bot I come across.

I’m straight and only like male lead scenarios. The problem with this is there are way more female bots than male. You look up any genre it’s all female lead. 🫩 even the homepage is flooded with it. So I just started blocking creators who make female lead scenarios. This has helped BIG time. I’ve been seeing a lot more male lead scenarios on my homepage. I still get majority female lead when i look up any genre, but hopefully in due time I’ll have most of those creators blocked. 😂 so yeah, if you hate how many female bots there are, just block the creator.

Tbh I’m shocked by how many female lead scenarios there are. Every AI platform I’ve tried, had way more male bots.

When you're done with the bot repeating everything you typed in

I was just done with them repeating what I typed and speaking for me so I just went ahead and do this(Definitely helpful trust🥲)

FL+ now?

I have been seeing multiple comments, instability and issues... is it wise it go for FL+?

I have been having issues with the free model not reading scenarios character cards... seems to be calling random names instead of intended siblings/parents.

World Details Section is No Longer Persistent

The gist of it is that when the Memory Matrix was implemented, the Backstory/World Details section was no longer assigned as "persistent" in the context memory. Instead, it is treated as a starting point of your scenario then it will be dropped from memory around 50+ messages. From there, the AI will rely on lore pieces.

If you're in the official FictionLab Discord, you can find the discussions HERE and HERE

How this might affect you:

  • If you feel as if the AI is lobotomized, it might have lost details from the World Details section.
  • If you are a creator who made big scenarios prior to the Memory Matrix update, you might have to consider changing everything in those old scenarios.

What you can do:

  • Treat the World Details section as a support section for your Greeting Message.
  • Instead of putting your world information inside the World Details section, put it in Location and Premise lore pieces:
    • the Location lore piece will contain the observable information about the world (names of places, appearance of buildings)
    • then link it to a Premise lore piece that will contain the narrative information about the world (key events or memories in those places, maybe even some event scheduling)

Rules and premises

So I just made this scenario and I feel like I had to add a lot of rules and premises to try and get it to play right but now I'm worried I might have added too many? Does anyone have any insight on what the max number should be so as not to overwhelm the AI? Also I want to specify that I don't just put like no's and don'ts in there. I make sure to add a lot of like world building and stuff like that to just really bring the scenario to life but I'm just worried I'm going to overwhelm the AI

I don't like the rating system🥲

I made a new bot that took me literal hours to create and I thought it was really good. But now, one person rated it badly and it's down to 1 star INSTANTLY. Now it'll probably not be shown to more people, right?

I know it's a FemPov bot and the majority here are guys, but why rate it badly and not even comment on why?

Good On FictionLab

I will say that I have had my criticism of fiction lab but I have always told people it’s miles getter than these other ai sites. As someone who used Xoul before it went down I went through many many sites and fiction lab is the best by miles. So much so that when Xoul came back I used it for a few days and went back to fiction lab.

Recently I took a break for a month or two while i was using another site (dm me if you want to know cuz I can’t advertise on here but it’s pretty good and detailed so check it out), and I have come back and noticed the response times are quick. Before they took a while to generate but recently I’ve had no issues. Not only that but I feel like the memory has gotten better. I have complained about memory on here before but I can say it seems the issue has been fixed.

Since I’ve been back on I’ve just been playing my old scenarios but today I came up with a new one. This is my first time in months creating a scenario and I’m impressed with the changes. There’s more space to add little details which I love. All my scenarios have been detailed but now I can take them to the next level. I like that instead of abandoning or getting upset with the criticism they’ve gotten better because I did see a lot of people saying they didn’t care and they obviously do.

My last point will be customer support. A few weeks ago I was in a pinch and I was charged for my subscription a few days before pay day. I ended up over drafting so I decided to take a shot in the dark reached out to support asking for a cancellation of my subscription for a refund. They let me know they didn’t usually do it but they understood and actually processed it when they didn’t have to. I didn’t get hit with the over drafting fee and a few days later when I got paid I had no problem resubscribing. Not to mention the fact fiction lab does charge 30 dollars for a plus account like other sites. If you’re premium then you’re premium and the price is an affordable 9 dollars for me at least.

So despite my past criticism and my future criticism I do think they deserve their flowers.

What happened to Oracle?

Oracle was really good till two weeks ago. Now, it's acting like a schizophrenic or Alzheimer's patient. Starts to lose its memory after 150th turn and it become insufferable after 250th... I am really flustrated.

Long RP Maintenance

Hello everyone ! I am here because i am trying to prevent a long rp to collapse under its own weight. I am following the BloomSprout tuto (really very well done). But I stumble on the "transplantation on a blank scenario" part. I tried to speak to the AI but it answers me that :(picture). And it tells me to go to the "memories" section of the customised scenario sheet, but I don't understand what he's talking about. Can someone enlighten me ?

I love this site

Yeah, the interface is pretty janky. Searching is a pain. The responses quite often muddle up details or include characters and words from other languages.

But I just started a scenario where {{user}} is a college professor offering a failing student the chance to get straight A's by fucking him. Only, the character I chose to play as wasn't just a skeevy professor. He's an incubus, an ancient sex-demon who wanders the earth helping out with supernatural problems (then having sex with someone).

Within a couple of messages, the bot had generated a whole 'possession' storyline, where the student is failing because an unknown malevolent entity buried beneath the college is possessing her...and now it knows I know. And it's coming for me.

I love this site.

BOTS SPEAKING VERY POETIC (?)

Hi! My first language is not English, but I hope I can express myself well.

I have a problem with my private bots: when they communicate, the messages are usually very poetic and unnatural.

In the instructions I clarify that I want the AI to write They are in keeping with the personality of my characters, but they are still too detailed or too poetic, which doesn't match the personality.

Do you know of any way to stop this? Perhaps some kind of instruction or something specific to write.

I want my bots to sound natural and in keeping with their personalities/ages, but I don't know how :(

Was doing a Rp until the bot suddenly generated this response. has anyone got something like this before?

i was using the plus model oracle in case anyone wanted to know. should I be concerned from this lol

Edit: Or is this response just one of Oracle shenanigans type of generated responses

How to activate characters in a scenario?

I'm not sure if there's even a way to do this, but I've been playing a couple of big ish scenarios with 30+ characters and can't get a single listed character the scenario has listed to work. If I ever mention them or the story starts off with introducing that character the AI will randomly change details or forget previous interactions completely. I'm on fl+ if that matters.

The memory matrix

Is there anywhere to fully read in depth of the memory matrix like its limitations and exactly how it works. How it decides which lore cards activate and so on?

How long is too long?

Plus user here who just has a really long chat. It’s not too complicated though there is some world building but I’m the type who loves to re read and I don’t want to have to scroll scroll scroll until it starts to lag. Any remedies? Does branching work? It won’t forget anything will it?

Context Memory and Lore Pieces

Here is a visualization of the AI "memory". Context memory is the K number that's written beside the model name. For example:

  • Ophelia has 40k
  • Oracle has 131k

I used The Tokenizer Playground on Huggingface.

This information is for the scenario creators who might be struggling with their lore pieces. You don't have to be strict with the numbers or use a tokenizer for everything. But this should give you SOME idea as to how you should be writing, linking and triggering your lore pieces so that it will work well with the Memory Matrix.

(Reddit is having some image-attachment errors. I have posted the image in a comment.)

Memory Matrix

The memory matrix looks more organized and could store more details in each card, but I noticed that it forgets faster, and you have to do OOC notes to remind it again just to avoid dissonance from your scenario.

Does this have something to do with inactive AI memories? It feels like it doesn’t trigger on its own. Is there a rule now where users have to manually pin those important inactive memories to keep them active?

I am using Oracle at the moment, and it feels like the previous story cards work better than the new update. I hope the memory matrix could be updated more and the app could “optimize” the app first before implementing big updates because this app has potential, but not optimizing this gives a not-so-good experience in the long run.

Note: I am posting this because I’ve been using FL plus since last year in October, and so far the memory of bots in FL plus started to fall apart after the memory matrix update.

What apps do you guys use to make cute graphics?

I love how some creators make cute graphics for their story’s. I tried doing it, but the only app I know that’s free is Picsart. I’ve been using that since 2018 (it’s gotten very greedy over the years 🫩) anyways, whoever I try using it and export an image, it comes out blurry when I transfer it to fl.

I’d love some recommendations. 🥰
