I’m trying to get back into FiveM and looking for some good public servers (not private/whitelisted ones).

I want to know what servers are actually popular and worth playing in 2026.

I’m mainly looking for:

• active servers with lots of players
• fun gameplay (jobs, missions, gangs, etc.)
• not too hard to join
• good community / not dead servers

I’m not really focused on serious RP, just fun servers in general.

What do you guys recommend right now? And which ones should I avoid?

As the title suggests, I'm looking for (English speaking) RP server recommendations. I'm relatively new to RP, with around 200hrs in LucidCity RP, but I haven't played in a long time, so idk what's good now. If possible, drop more than one recommendation, as my internet tends to not be able to connect to certain servers soo...

In my current city, I received my Air One certification about 40 hours ago and joined the panel over 100 hours ago. It’s a great city, but it’s also a public city, meaning we have new police joining by the hour. Because of that, there is a lot happening throughout the ranks.

We currently have 795 police on the panel, and our top 5 (Really top 30) are constantly having meetings. As a higher-ranking officer in this panel, I have to attend every in-city meeting. It constantly breaks my immersion when I’m on scene or in the middle of a 10-80 in Air One and have to 10-22 it just to return to base.

I’m just looking for another server where I can be a police officer without having three or more meetings every time I log on.

I’m not trying to recruit or promote anything, I’m just curious about people’s opinions on this.

What’s up with these “Fortnite-style” RP cities that have neon lightposts, glowing effects everywhere, and stuff like unicorn neon guns and overly flashy cosmetics?

It kind of kills the immersion for me when everything looks super arcade-like instead of feeling like actual GTA RP.

Genuine question — do people actually enjoy that style of RP? Or is it just meant to attract a different audience?

I’m trying to understand what the appeal is, because for me it kind of ruins the whole vibe of serious roleplay.

Looking for a FiveM server that is currently in need of a Chief of Police or someone to come in and help build, organize, and lead a department.

I’m mainly looking for a server with a smaller but active player base. I’m not looking for a massive server where everything is already set in stone. I’m looking for a place that has potential, activity, and staff who actually want to see their PD grow into something professional and long-lasting.

I have 4 years of FiveM LEO RP experience, including leadership, department structure, training, discipline, patrol operations, and general command work. I already have SOPs, a roster system, department structure, and a Discord setup ready to go, so I can bring organization to the table from day one.

I’m looking to help create a PD that is active, professional, fair, and enjoyable for both officers and civilians/criminals to interact with. I’m willing to put in the work, build the department up properly, and help create something the server can actually be proud of.

I’ve been trying to find one but all of them I know of are 18+ yes I understand the game is 18+ but teens play and get bored and I’m trying to find a way to have fun and play with others

The vc servers tend to be a little over baring from time to time are there any good text based rp servers out there that have a decent rp community?

Im conflicted. I want to leave the server because he's still on it and its a constant reminder of him, but at the same time i dont want to because I enjoy the people, I put so much time in my character and i feel like i shouldn't give him that sort of power over me. I dont know what to do, but I cant get over him completely while still being apart of the server.

edit: it was a real life relationship, not in game.

The server im in generally has a hard time filling cop slots. My question is, why do people not wanna be cops. Everyone wants to be a hardened gang or Mc. Another problem we have is the people who want to be cops claim to have good experience but then when it comes down to it they are narcissistic people who abuse the power and we have to fire them 🤣🤣.

I've only recently started trying FiveM and I'm wondering if I'm just looking in the wrong places.

The server I joined wasn't bad or anything, but within a short time I was being asked to do jobs/chores, people were getting frustrated that I didn't know basic controls like locking and unlocking vehicles, and I felt like I was expected to already know how everything worked.

I won't name the server because this isn't a complaint about them. It just made me realise I might not be the target audience for serious RP.

Are there FiveM servers where you can just casually jump in, learn as you go, have a laugh, and not feel like you've started a second job?

I'm looking for something closer to the old Halo 3 custom games vibe. Low pressure, easy to join, fun first, rules second.

Do servers like that actually exist, and if so, what types of servers should I be searching for?

I have always been into FiveM Roleplay and have watched Jeff Favignano and Bay Area Buggs when they did LSPDFR and DOJ and eventually OCRP and I have always loved the idea but I never really got into joining a FiveM server until now. This is my first server I will be joining and honestly I have no idea what I'm doing T_T. If you run a server or are in one and are looking for new members or know of any servers that would be good for a beginner that are similar to DOJ or OCRP please let me know!

Heads up: CFX no longer allows transfer of assets that were bought more than 28 days ago.

You should be EXTREMELY careful purchasing assets from anywhere other than the creators Tebex store. If you're going to buy something from someone, VERIFY THEIR PURCHASE DATE BEFORE SENDING ANY MONEY. If it was purchased more than a month ago, they won't be able to transfer it to you.

Also verify it wasn't purchased as part of a subscription.

Be safe out here y'all. There are a lot of asset transfer scams out there. Support original creators. If you see someone selling an asset for cheap, reach out to the original creator, some of them would match the price for you.

It may be common knowledge for members here. I'm completely new. But it seems like steam causes errors, maybe for me. But whenever I have it open, adhesive.dll always occurs. And also early exist trap, but when I close steam that doesn't happen. I have a fresh install of FiveM too

edit: discord being completely closed also helps too it seems.
