r/ForgottenBookmarks

What material for bookmarks do you personally prefer?
These days, I see a variation in the kinds of bookmarks available in the market - paper/hardpaper, metallic, resin, crochet, thread, etc. What is your personal preference? I personally find the oldschool paper/hard paper bookmarks to be the most effective and convenient to carry, though the others are very appealing and pretty to look at, I won't lie

Just found this old plane ticket in an secondhand book ✈️
Found this inside my great grandparents bible.
this is just one “forgotten bookmark” amongst many others dating from the late 1800s to the early 2000s!

Four leaf clover in old book
Seems to be a collection of W. Hauff’s works from late 1800s early 1900s.
This book traveled all the way to Ottawa, Canada before I found it. I am wondering who forgot their four leaf clover in it. :)
Anyone know If/How I could get a copy of this?
I’ve seen big Brawl Stars YouTubers get sent these for free, and I was wondering if it’s an exclusive thing? I really like D&D and the MadEvil Manor is my favorite trio in the game, so it would mean the world to me if I got a copy of this for myself! So if anyone knows anything regarding this, I’d love to know.
A nice devotional prayer and print in a 17th century Dutch book
The book is from 1665, but the print is probably a little older because the maker Michiel van Lochom lived from 1601 to 1647. There are several copper engravings in this book by an anonymous artist. The illustrations are cleary inspired by Otto van Veen (Otto Vaenius), Peter Paul Rubens’ teacher.
Found in this library book with an apropos title
Found in Looking For Alaska book in a Jacksonville, FL Goodwill
Was being used as a bookmark in Looking For Alaska! Found it at a goodwill in Jacksonville, FL. Not sure if they meant to leave it in there or not but its now what I currently use as a bookmark.
If the ticket is any indication, this book has traveled many miles.
